Indianapolis question

Recommended Posts

I am making the trip up to Indy again this year, and I was wondering if someone could suggest somewhere to eat in between shows. Last year I went to some mall a couple of blocks away, and it is always packed. Anyone know where else to grab something in time before the late show starts?

I am also looking for somewhere nice to go on Sunday night as well... any ideas...

Both Hard Rock and Spaghetti Factory are good places within walking distance, although they can certainly fill up fast as well.

There are a ton of restaurants in the area, so you do have plenty to choose from. The past couple of times I've gone to the Hard LUCK Cafe. It's essentially a Chili restaurant - with different varieties of chili. Awesome place. The wait last year was maybe 20 minutes, and a couple years before then we walked right in.

There are lots of places to eat within walking distance. Plenty of them are well-known chains.

If you've got a few bucks to spare, St. Elmo's is cool. Amazing shrimp cocktail, big steaks, big potatoes ... all the usual big, old steakhouse amenities. Including the price.

Palomino is good for a nice dinner. There is a classy Japanese place less than a block from the dome to the east.

Other good options (avoid going into the mall) are Alcatraz, Rock Bottom and Ram breweries.

Walk to the east of the dome and wander around a few blocks. There is lots of stuff.

I'll put a plug in for Palomino as well. One of Capital Regiment's visual techs from 2004 is the owner - heck of a guy too. :)
