Because, honestly, who would be interested in watching a spelling bee on TV other than the family of the 25 (or however many) kids who were in it? Then again, maybe the audience loves this production for their first time viewing and clamors for more of it next year. I just doubt it. But we are about to see if DCI plays well across main street America or not. And this is a good thing for a change. Edited August 18, 2005 by Lieut.
