byline
In high school, my band wore the old Q-tip style of white busby, with what I guess could be called a cadet-style uniform; black, with green and white trim. The flags (and we actually also had shields early on, too) wore a smaller version of the busby, with white jackets and short white pleated skirts. The whole thing was very Big 10/Bill Moffitt style . . . which didn't go too well with the corps style the band adopted in the mid-'70s. Whoo, boy, I forgot I actually had a picture of us . . . shields and all! Get ready. . . . OK, folks, if you can't have fun with this, you're just not trying! :P

byline
OMG.I remember that picture hanging on the band room wall. Sadly, we had essentially the same picture taken every year. Same location, everything. At some point, we stopped with the costumed majorettes. I forget what the deal was. Something about the different nationalities that had been part of Vincennes at one time or another, I think.
