This is going to be a GREAT time! We're looking forward to having you join us and have fun with some of the "Ol'time" Drum Corps...

The L.I.Sunrisers Alumni Corps is holding its next practice on Feb. 26th at the Jets Bubble in Hofstra University.

The corps is preparing for its first public appearance, performing at the Archer Epler Brass Reunion on April 29th.

Sun Alumni has openings in all sections. You need not be a Sunriser Alumni to join.

<DIRECTIONS>

From New Jersey, directions from the Verrizano's Bridge.

Take the VZ bridge to the Belt Pkway eastbound (eastern long island). Stay on the Belt until the Southern Parkway/Cross Island split in Elmont.

Take the Southern Pkway east about 4 miles to the Meadowbrook Pkway, northbound.

Take the Meadowbrook north maybe 3 miles to Hempstead Turnpike exit, westbound (signs say Nassau Coliseum traffic, Hempstead)

Heading west on Hempstead Turnpike you will see the Mariott Hotel complex and the Nassau Coliseum on your right. Get in the right lane. The SECOND traffic light is Earl Ovington Boulevard - you will see a Hofstra Uni. footbridge over the pike. Make a right on Ovington and immediately get in the left lane. About 500' north of the pike there is an entrance to Hofstra on the left .. turn there into the parking lot.

Go to the end of the road and turn left - you will see the Jets bubble at the far end of the lot and our cars parked there. If we are already in the bubble when you arrive, go down the footpath, through the open gates into the Jets complex, and walk to the right to the end of the bubble. The entrance is at the very end around the corner through the revolving door.

Bruce's truck (white RAM pickup) is usually parked right at the entrance to the footpath. Can't miss it.

Come on down and join in the "History of the Sunrisers"...

Some of the members are the folks that built the Sunrisers into one of the preeminent drum corps of Sr. Corps.

One rehearsal a month (gotta love Alumni Corps) and to have some fun at the Archer-Elper show on April 29th....
