flervinuveling
The 04 Scouts' drum feature before malaga was a constant accelerando that ended at like 220.

xelanosa
If I remember correctly the Fall of Saigon (SCV 91) was a little over 200 bpm by Finals at Nats...and the book was tough too!
jwillis35
Honestly, I think you will find that the winner is Cadets opener from 1995. The whole song is unreal. Listen to the mallets, the horn runs, the demand in the horn melodies and intervals, and then find that tempo and actually try marching that in your home or drive way. At 40, I have to run to march that fast anymore. :) I don't know, I am guessing. But that was one of the fastest I have seen. Obviously, Cavaliers have a number of very quick tempos over the recent years. The Cadets have other shows like 1992 and 1993. And for those of you who love the 80s, remember Garfield 1986 (On The Waterfront) during the middle segment when they bring out the mock boxing rings. That was quite fast. Of course, Star of Indiana had some serious speed from 1991 to 1993. Jonathan
ssorrell
In the Cadets' 1984 version of WSS, they topped 230-240 bpm at the end of a segment near the middle of the program.
doogiempt
just to clear up on Cadets 05... kill bill = 198, 136 (i think), 188 liquid = 196 (although it was usually faster) dancer = 72 (drums at 144 the whole time) machine = 220 (not kidding on this one) mirrors = 188, 200 one of the fastest shows i've marched. that said, i think that cadets 93 and star 90/91 are some of the fastest every marched. cavies 01 moved pretty fast too, if i remember correctly. michael terry cadets bari 2000-present
