dcpguy1111
Has anyone else noticed that we seem to have one of these threads about every 4-5 weeks? Less than that. And usually someone comes in and says, "ALL CORPS DO THESE DAYS IS RUN AROUND, NOW WHERE ARE MY PRUNES"
mbird139
I have seen all Top 12 shows from the last 20 years, and have to give my vote to Star 1990. Insane last 1:30 of drill - - Still amazed they pulled that off (Should have won too, sorry Cadets).

And it showed in the visual scores. 4th in visual. Fast does not equate better.

afd
Yes, but it was pretty #### exciting, and that's alot better than a silly score if you ask me no arguing here. Love Star and BD the best in 1990. Cadets just rehashed a prior show. Did nothing for me.
PR_ducky
in regiment 89 after the big sop blast in the closer we hit close to 220 thru the end of the show
Medeabrass
I can't remember exactly, but I think our closer in 1990 was at 206 bpm+. Not too sure about 91 since I missed out on that year. Lesa, I thought I heard Ashley got a little excited finals night and bumped it up to 220 bpm.
Medeabrass
Star '93 Medea 200-210? The end was marked 220 but I think we only got to about 210 or 215. The beginning of the dance started at 188 bpm accelerated from ther.
ssorrell
Actually, I would submit it was VERY hard...holding a steady whole note while going that fast. Not a lot of tone wavering going on...rock solid. HA! Here I was thinking you were taking a stab at the Cadets, when you were actually doing the opposite. Forgive me, Sam! You are so right...moving that fast, backwards in a blind set for many kids on the field, and the tone quality never suffers. Bravo! Watching the Hi-cam video amazes me...the feet just turn into a blur once that high tempo starts.
NR_Ohiobando
wow, after seeing all this I'm kinda regretting saying Star 90 was the "fastest I've ever seen marched". I can't believe I forgot all these.
