Kay
Many say that one of the most precious gifts you take away from this great activity, are the friendships you make along the way; this was made very clear to the membership of the Hawthorne Caballeros last Labor Day Weekend. Across the world, there is a drum corps that was created in the likeness of the Hawthorne Drum Corps', a corps that also specializes in playing Latin music. Last year at DCA's, the Inspires Drum and Bugle corps traveled around the world to participate in finals. So it goes, a friendship was born and is now flourishing. A very special moment for both corps was when they both stood shoulder to shoulder and played Flamenco Cha Cha together in the parking lot after prelims had finished. It's true when said, "some of the best memories are made in the parking lot of the stadium." Then sharing an after finals party together back at the hotel of the Caballeros. Since then our corps has received many updates on the happenings of the Inspires, and have been gracious enough to send us some updated photos. When are keeping in touch with them also on our preparations for 2003. Please visit the photo gallery of our website, click on 2002 and see the photos of the two corps together, and the new ones sent to us by Inspires since our last visit. http://www.cabs.org/inspires.asp
Eddie
You know, with the Cabs's pants and the Inspires's jackets... that would be one heck of a uniform.
