Well being a residnt of SoCal, I know that The Rose Bowl 4th of July Fireworks show is one of the best you pay money for. I don't know the numer of people who go each year, but I know its a lot. You add those people to the DCI Fans, and I'm guessing that the audience will wrap around to the backside. I was acutally talking about this with my friends at camp last night, because we weren't sure how the non-DCI'ers would react to the corps. i.e. talking during corps performances, booing, "what the heck is this" kinda thing. Hopefully this is some good exposure for DCI though and none of those will happen. Like I said, I am still very excited. Quote
Eddie Posted May 11, 2008 Posted May 11, 2008 These 4th of July shows are awesome! Mt. SAC had a festival like this in 1995, where there was a combination drum corps show & fireworks. All the groups got to sit out on the field and watch after awards were announced. Quote

I swear I was just wondering the same thing as Nightfly last night and was thinking I should call DCI this morning, because it was feeling late to me to not have tickets out there already for a show like this. No problem. I'm very excited to be performing in the Rose Bowl, especialy after being there for finals watching from the spectator POV, so I think it will be cool to perform for a big crowd there.
