Latrobe's Finest Posted May 12, 2008 Posted May 12, 2008 Shenandoah Sound had another great weekend of rehearsal. Today we put our entire opener on the "field." Because of the rain, we lined off the gym and did rehearsal there. Our numbers keep rising and things are looking good for the season. We're still looking for more talent-so if you're on the fence, come on by!! ShenandoahSound.org for more information. Quote

I hope you're with DCK, otherwise it's only 9 hours to us in Virginia. And it's a good year when both of my alma maters are in the sweet 16 - WKU and Memphis! Quote

Hard as it may be to believe, Cincy is about 45 minutes closer to Shenandoah Sound than Louisville is. Cincinnati/Northern Kentucky and Louisville are interesting places, geographically speaking, with reference to the rest of DCA. Two hours northwest and you are in Indy; clearly DCA-Central territory. Three to four hours south and you are in Nashville; just as clearly DCA-South country. So, where does that leave Cincinnati Tradition and Derby City Knights? Smack in the middle of two vibrant and vital areas of senior corps activity; two areas full of great corps, great competitors/friends! Which sounds pretty cool to me. Best wishes to you guys, Robert Quote

Best wishes to you guys, Robert This "Clealy" is Great News. The connecting of the different "Regions" will make it better for ALL the Competing units. DCA South and DCA Centeral. Now more shows in those areas will have more diversity. Also, with what "I " call DCA Southwest the Texas groups (and soon Kansas) go to both DCA S and DCA C. (DCA South groups already do some DCA Northeas area.) Keeping MOST shows each year within a more reasonable distance. Come on WEST COAST. With all that Talent you have out there! Fight on! A lot of the above areas, either had NO Drum Corps or Very Little to work with. Now, See it GROW. Then the BIG once a year trip to the "DCA World Championships" as the one show that will most effect the budget. DCA - The GROWING Place to be a part of!!!!!!! Quote
