contrajedi8 Posted May 17, 2008 Posted May 17, 2008 How many of you out there still watch the shows you marched in on a regular basis? And, how many of you watch yourself while your watching the show you marched in? Just curious. I personally haven't watched a show I marched in in probably 2-3 years. Even then, I still never watched them all that often. I tend to watch the shows I taught more. Quote
friceox Posted May 17, 2008 Posted May 17, 2008 only watch it when friends are over, and wanna see it. Personally, i'm rather sick of my 5 shows. Quote

madscout96 Posted May 17, 2008 Posted May 17, 2008 It's been over 10 years. I remember where my camera shots were (the few of them), but other than that I barely remember where I was on the field. Quote
jblamb1401 Posted May 17, 2008 Posted May 17, 2008 I like to watch it every now and then... I can't remember where I am 95% of the time. Quote
GGarrett Posted May 17, 2008 Posted May 17, 2008 if I say OF COURSE I watch myself does that make me a self-centered ego-maniac? I'm proud of what I did... I love seeing myself and all my friends out there... and sometimes it just flat out impresses the hell out of ME that I actually did all that! I sure as heck don't look like that anymore... it's fun to remember and see me back then. Quote
80's dci vet Posted May 18, 2008 Posted May 18, 2008 (edited) I only marched top 12 one year - 1984. I think that Finals is the only video in existence of my marching experience (unless there's video of the corps I marched in in '83, which finished 29th overall). So yeah, I watch it all the time these days. I got it last August, and hadn't seen it in 23 years until then. It's a trip, because there are two brief close ups of me (thank God for DVD's and the pause function!). I'm especially proud because we finished 4th, and 3rd in prelims the night before. That was big time! Looking back on that night in '84 all these years later, DCI Finals were a surreal experience for an 18 year old. Edited May 18, 2008 by 80's dci vet Quote

You weren't the cymbal chewing the helmet chain at the end of Armenian Dances, were you??? heh I watch my shows all the time...listen to them, too....I STILL can't believe I was ever good enough to make BD...I doubt I would've if the audition then was the same as today. Eddie Posted May 18, 2008 Posted May 18, 2008 I'm an unfortunate critic of myself all the time, so it's difficult for me to watch and enjoy any performance I'm in because I'm constantly watching and listening to myself... it's a curse I think. Quote
