doyle079 Posted July 20, 2008 Posted July 20, 2008 how many people did you see fall at the SA show? i dont think i can count on both hands and feet how many people i saw go down tonight. some went down on what appeared to be easier drill. the most notible one was the guard of xmen that went down and was takin off on a stretcher, she/he they did return on the sideline for the evening show, with a large brace. Whiskey Posted July 20, 2008 Posted July 20, 2008 Talked to a corps member and they stated it was slippery as hell. Quote
BRASSO Posted July 20, 2008 Posted July 20, 2008 Talked to a corps member and they stated it was slippery as h*ll. I was also struck by the number of Corps that had holes in their ranks in San Antonio. Some had multiple holes. Corps that had missing marchers seemed to suffer in scores a little bit too I thought. ( which would be expected ) Quote

josephmb Posted July 20, 2008 Posted July 20, 2008 yeah it happens, but i counted atleast 4 people fall Quote
MHSmirage Posted July 20, 2008 Posted July 20, 2008 As I mentioned in the other SA thread.... There's no major team playing at the Alamodome. The only other time they pull out the ratty turf is for our state marching contest and the BOA regional. They are in no hurry to upgrade. Quote
VKMello84 Posted July 20, 2008 Posted July 20, 2008 Talked to a corps member and they stated it was slippery as h*ll. Are we thinking that they oiled the field? Quote
SCVsopAaron Posted July 20, 2008 Posted July 20, 2008 I noticed this too.... Seemed like more than usual, but, this turf here is NOTORIOUS. Quote
Musical_Spinner Posted July 20, 2008 Posted July 20, 2008 That poor cavalier baritone fell and it looked like he busted the horn on his face before he got up and back into the hold they were playing. Never seen a fall quite so hard...poor guy! That poor crossmen girl completely blew out her knee, according to their staff. She was on the field for so long before they were able to get her off.
