I honestly don't like the Arbans book... I know it's the "trumpet bible" and all like that, but I prefer the Clarke books over the Arbans book. I do, however, like the duets and flow studies in the back of the Arbans.

between now and then... just work on getting better. If they are released in the middle of October, that still gives you a whole month to learn the specific exercises they want. That should be PLENTY of time.
