MuZiK11 Posted October 20, 2008 Posted October 20, 2008 hey doreen, a question people might be wondering .... if they want to be in one of the smaller ensemble, do they have to be in the corps too Quote
Sayre Kulp Posted October 20, 2008 Posted October 20, 2008 Jean, I don't speak for the corps, but I know one of the reasons for the various ensembles is to allow those otherwise unable to participate with the field corps a chance to perform within the Skyliner family. Hope that helps! Quote
skydrumrangel Posted October 20, 2008 Posted October 20, 2008 hey doreen, a question people might be wondering .... if they want to be in one of the smaller ensemble, do they have to be in the corps too Thanks for that question Jean. Sayre is correct, (how many times do you hear me say that? ) the performance ensembles are for anyone with an interest in being a Skyliner, but unable to commit to a full season of competitive field corps either due to time, financial, or physical constraints. We're also not limited to instrumentation, base guitar players included. Come in with an instrument and we'll put you in the ensemble best suited for featuring it. My legs don't move as well as they used to, so I may opt to perform in the mini-corps or pit ensemble. The point is there is something for everybody with the New York Skyliners. Quote
