Jehensley Posted June 30, 2009 Posted June 30, 2009 (edited) Howdy all and welcome to the CRASS homeshow. Below you will find the information for this show. There have been a few changes due to a serious of unfortunate events. It seems that the stadium at Riverside Community College experienced a water problem. Apparently they watered the field for 16 straight hours. The field looks like Bethpage Black at this year's US Open. We have searched all over the area for a stadium to use. Unfortunately, they are either booked or being treated for the upcoming football season. However, I have called in a favor from an old friend of mine Arturo Moreno. For thoe of you who do not know Art, he is the owner of the Los Angeles Angels of Anaheim. It just happens that family members of his marched with the Madera Vantage of FDCI. He has graciously allowed us to use the stadium seeing that the Angels are currently in Texas on a road trip. Here is a view of the stadium configuration for football. The seating is General Admission. The VIP reception will be at the homeplate club with seating on the club level. All decks will be open and consessions stands will be open on all levels. Gates open at 7am. Here is the lineup. 8:00 KeyGen Drum Corps 8:15 The Front Rangers 8:30 Girls with Style 8:45 Thunder and Lightning 9:00 Shade 9:15 VK3 9:30 Dumb Dogs 9:45 Los Osos Break 10:15 Wysteria 10:30 Supremacy 10:45 Featurix 11:00 Inland Empire Elite 11:15 Viper Brigade 11:30 Cataline Crusaders 11:45 Raincross Lunch Break 1:15 Sin City Regiment 1:30 Texas Zephyrs 1:45 Royal Squadron 2:00 Riverside Elite 2:15 Sacramento Symphony 2:30 BG Surprise Break 3:00 VK Too 3:15 Stardom 3:30 Firebird Cadets 3:45 Star of Hawaii 4:00 Tokyo Tornadoes 4:15 Crimson Kings Dinner Break 5:00 Sunshine State 5:15 Renegade Brigade 5:30 Silver Streak 5:45 Oregon Llama Vanguard 6:00 Killer Kats 6:15 El Gigante 6:30 Cumberland Scouts 6:45 The Unexpected 7:00 StarGazers 7:15 The Elite Brigade Break 7:45 Penguin Brigade 8:00 Xpress 8:15 Titan Regiment 8:30 Blousemen 8:45 Lackey Corps 9:00 The PhilharCORPSmonic 9:15 Gemini Star Regiment 9:30 Rocky Mountain Tunder 9:45 California Knights 10:00 Velour Knights Encore Performances by winners of Open and A Class 10:30 DM only Awards Show Recap to follow tonights festivities. Ex VK DM Posted June 30, 2009 Posted June 30, 2009 (edited) Wow!! Don't know how the Velour Knights got the privilege of going on last at YOUR home show, but we thank you all the same. EDIT: The VK Org. applauds the change of venue two fold. One we don't have to drive down the dreaded 91 freeway and two, only 10 miles down the 57 Edited June 30, 2009 by Ex VK DM Quote

I figured it would be a good way to start the "Battle of the Knights" Winner gets the coveted Sword trophy. James Hensley CRASS Quote

Ex VK DM Posted June 30, 2009 Posted June 30, 2009 watered the field? That thing is grass turf I know, I thought the same thing, but let it go......it's fantasy corps! Quote
Jehensley Posted June 30, 2009 Author Posted June 30, 2009 I know, I thought the same thing, but let it go......it's fantasy corps! That goes to show you how long it's been since I was at RCC. I was last there in 98... have they at least fixed the seating arrangements? Eddie, I took care of Raincross :) Quote
Ex VK DM Posted July 1, 2009 Posted July 1, 2009 That goes to show you how long it's been since I was at RCC. I was last there in 98... have they at least fixed the seating arrangements? No, it's actually worse. Brand new field (was just on it for the Western Connection corps show), new track and surrounding fields. Then there's the inadequate seating situation that still remains. From what I've heard, the home side stands are some sort of "historical landmark and can't be torn down. Before the pressbox sat on the 45, now it sits on the 40. Here is what it looks like now. Eddie Posted July 1, 2009 Posted July 1, 2009 Yeah, the only reason why they redid the field was because they could save on money by using the excess dirt from the new parking garage. A new home stands is in the "master renovation plan" that RCC has adapted, but the funds haven't been put into place for it yet. Gary is up in arms over it... no one else seems to really care. Quote
