Mr. Adam Hill from Romeoville, Illinois has been chosen as Pioneer's Percussion Caption Head for the 2009 Season. This comes after the resignation of Mr. Tyler Orbison. Mr. Hill takes on this position, in addition to his responsibilities as the Director of the Pioneer Indoor Line and Band Director at the Romeoville High School. Mr. Hill is a graduate of the prestigious Vandercook College School of Music. Adam still performs professionally with the Chicago Bears football team's Drumline and the Chicago Bulls basketball team's house band.
Our Program Coordinator, Mr. Joe Kuerzi, announced Monday that the theme for the Pioneer 2009 Production is, "CELTIC TRINITY". After 2 months of long discussions by our design team along with several creative show concepts and styles being considered, they have come up with an excellent and highly entertaining show. The music includes composer Brian Balmages’ "THREE CELTIC DANCES", and Steven Reinecke’s "RAGING RIVER". The music has a contemporary Irish sound, as compared to the more traditional Irish/American music that we have used in the past. We will also take advantage of the use of the new DCI rules regarding electronics to enhance our field presentation.

The 2009 edition of Memphis Sound is proud to bring you their production “Celebrations…rebirth of a Planet.”
As we continue to struggle in our day to day lives, we find that in each new day, we have things to celebrate with the human nature of making life more successful each day. As we continue to research new forms of energy, new medical breakthroughs, how to feed the hungry, how to recycle, how to replant and reenergize the planet, we celebrate a planet that begins to find a new life in itself and its inhabitants.
