Color Guard Netherlands (CGN) and Winter Guard International (WGI) organize a state of the art event in Goes, the Netherlands on March 5. CGN is hosting the first European WGI Percussion Elite Event. During the European WGI Percussion Regional clinics all contestants will participate in clinics, along with the American team of instructors and judges. The Elite Event is free for all visitors to the CGN Contest and the Regional.

Groups include Percussion Unlimited, triple CGN Marching Class champion. Also Premier Drum corps, winner of almost all classes in the CGN Indoor Percussion, Unik Star from France and Trommelgroep West Nederland.

The latter will be at a CGN / WGI event for the first time. Their style may be different, but together with the American team, they will show that effects and techniques are universal and thus applicable to any kind of percussion.

From 14:30 on all participants will perform in Prelims. Then, from 15:30 to 18:30 the Elite Event will be held. The U.S. team and the groups will work together to improve their product and show and explain to you why a particular change will lead to improvement.
At 20:30 we start the Regional Finals. The groups will then show what they have learned in the afternoon.

Between 19:00 and 20:30 the sixth CGN Color Guard Contest 2011 season will commence. Several guards will be performing in Goes, the second last stop on the way to the CGN Finals in Eindhoven on Saturday, March 26.

Color Guard Nederland hosts the WGI European Percussion Regional for the fourth time. The Regional is part of the official selections for the World Championships Indoor Percussion, from April 14 to 16 in the United States.
