In The News – Drum And Bugle Corps Invited To World Championship

Three years ago Johnathan Doerr ventured out and created The Guardians Drum and Bugle Corps.

At the age of 19, he knew it would be a long road, but with support of family and friends, he knew it would be a successful.

“There were a lot of people who believed in me, but there was just an overwhelming amount of people who did not think this was going to happen,” he said. “All I wanted to do was put something together that was going to change kids’ lives. Starting a drum corps was the hardest thing I’ve ever had to do in my life. It took a lot of great people and a lot of planning, but we made it happen.”
