DCUK Introduces International Class At British Championships

| |

Over the past few years non UK Corps have made the trip over to the UK to compete at the British Drum Corps Championships and 2019 is no exception. In recent years Corps from Holland and Ireland have competed and this year we have had Corps from Germany & Ireland register to be part of the 40th DCUK Championships event taking place on Saturday 21st September at the Select Security Stadium in Widnes, Cheshire.

Whilst these Corps still perform in their seeded order, and their score is announced in their relevant position, as they not members of DCUK they cannot compete for the British Champions title however…

Drum Corps United Kingdom is pleased to announce for the 2019 British Championships the introduction of the International Class, supported by Drum Corps International. All non UK Corps will continue to compete in their seeded position but will also compete directly against all other non UK Corps with the highest scoring unit being crowned DCUK International Class Champions.

DCUK would like to thank DCI for supporting this new initiative and their continued support of the activity in the UK.

If any non UK Corps are interested in finding out more about attending any DCUK contest, either during the season or the British Championships, then please get in touch via the website at www.dcuk.org.uk
