The European Drum Corps Championships Are Back

| |

After a 2 year hiatus the European Drum Corps Championships will be returning in 2022

The last event was held in 2019 and on Saturday 24th September 2022 the event will be back and will be held in Holland at the home of FC Dordrecht at Stadion Krommedijk (Riwal Hoogwerkers Stadion). Whilst this stadium is smaller than those used for previous European Championships, it is felt, in this still very uncertain environment, that it is ideally suited for the number of units that are anticipated to attend from across Europe and has been used previously for the Dutch National Drum Corps Championships so is a tried and tested venue.

Corps and performing units are now being asked to Pre-Register using a form that can be accessed via http://www.dceurope.org and for 2022 will be offering Premier (Open) Class, Junior Class, Percussion & Guard Class, Concert Class plus, as we know some organisations are struggling to have a full marching (competitive) corps this season but are still looking into performing either in concert or with a shortened field show, an Exhibition Class will be added to the event’s schedule, allowing all performing groups the chance to take part in this season Finale.

In addition, DrumLine Battle events, in association with Drum Corps International, will be taking place to make a great days entertainment.

The Championships will be run by, and in a partnership between, all the Euro Drum Corps Partners – Dutch Music Games – Drum Corps United Kingdom – Irish Marching Band Association – Rastede Musiktage – German Open and the European DC Judges Association – and will be open to all groups from across Europe to take part.

Details of ticket sales coming soon and we hope that after 2 years of no Euro Championships event that Drum Corps and their Fans from across Europe will be excited to return to the activity they love.
