Got the news a couple hours ago... I'm extremely honored to be the second tenor of The 2017 Cadets! I can't wait to continue working on what sounds like an incredible show with an incredible corps. I'll probably be a quite a bit less active on here in the coming months, but I'll still be around every once in a while to keep y'all in line. Everyone, staff and members, have been incredibly kind and welcoming. Also, thanks so much for helping teach me about DCI and drum corps, I've learned a lot! P.S. There is, of course, a small chance that I might not end up joining. No specific reason, but sometimes things come up. (I sure hope not!!!) In the meantime... ♪ O Holy Name, O Holy Name... ♪

The piece is new to me, but I've found that the text is based on Isaiah 41:10 from the Old Testament. The conductor is Dr. Donald Dumpson, from the Arch Street Presbyterian Church.

Maybe he just didn't have all the information to answer it. Maybe he got pulled off his computer just as he was about to answer your question. Maybe he'll answer it later. Maybe I will get sick from eating too much chocolate. He's pretty respectful. He'll probably get to it when he gets to it.

If he's in school, I can understand why he made that post. Also, it could be a monetary thing. Keep in mind, some people may not have the means to march so he could be talking about raising the money to march. I almost didn't march in '99 BECAUSE of school commitments.

Most likely they just want to see more talented members fill the open spots in the line. They probably have some callback kids hanging around too.

Really not sure how 95 Madison and 93 Regiment could possibly be considered "underrated"... I thought 95 was Madison's most famous show ever, or a close second to 1988, and that Regiment show gets mentioned in tandem with 96/08 all the time. Ah well. As far as underrated shows, my quick picks: SCV 1995 (happens to be my favorite SCV show ever, yes that includes 1989 and 1999), and few people seem to know it... Regiment 1997 (kindof a mess visually, but lovely music, and one of the best "crowd participation" moments ever)

Probably because I was just listening to it, but Phantom Regiment 1993 comes to mind. It gets a little lost in the conversation after Star and Cadets, but man that is a beautiful show.
