  3. With my luck, I will get pulled over, ticketed for "non-essential travel", and then will not be able to restart my car.

  5. Heh....it may have been my comment on another of her vids that brought her to this! https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=bs_Kh7t7LqM&feature=share&fbclid=IwAR1eBOHPmKtvw7t4-8FgM1rV5tPftw1n4jM57jk-zFEJz81x9UsM0FV9P8E

  7. I think 95 pushes 92 as one of the strongest top 12s of the 90s. Would be interested to know how much of the finals placements people feel were due to performance on the night versus strength of design?

  8. Word of advice to all.... last 6 or so weeks been driving about twice a week for distances of 1-2 miles. This morning car would not start due to battery. Driving for a few minutes each time was not enough to allow the battery to recharge. 😫 Just got back from drive to local airport as had to drive 45 minutes to allow all the technology to completely reboot. At least it crapped out in the driveway. If there is thunder later it’s my former auto mechanic father looking down and beotching at me for not thinking about this... 🤬🤯

  11. Adam Tan is an Australian marimba performer and composer who has a YouTube channel. About a year ago, he began checking out marching arts videos people were sending him as part of his "Let's Watch" series. Australia has nothing close to what we have here in the United States for the marching arts, and it's fun to see him blown away by the musicianship the performers exhibit. Here's his latest Let's Watch, featuring a Finals lot video of the 2019 Bluecoats front ensemble and the Vic Firth video of 2019 Carolina Crown.

  12. What she is doing has been a "thing" on Youtube for a couple of years at least, from what I can tell. I have just started watching reaction videos the past few weeks; there are lots of different people with Youtube channels doing them. I find them kind of fun to watch, actually.

  13. There will not be a 2020 marching season, but DCI will have three new inductees for the Hall of Fame: Tony DiCarlo, Harold “Robby” Robinson, and Sal Salas. I had thought that two of them, Tony and Sal were already members, but in the case of all three it seems well deserved. Of the three, the only one I know personally is Tony DiCarlo. He’s a familiar face to all of us in drum corps, but even outside of drum corps, you don’t have to search too far for someone who knows him, at least in the Boston area. A friend of mine who worked with him at Putnam Investments told me that for the longest time she didn’t know what he did or what department he worked in, but go to him with any question and he would know who you needed to ask and where you’d find the answer. Congratulations to all three and thank-you for all you’ve done for the activity.

  14. While nothing can replace a summer of Drum Corps International, the Madison Scouts are doing their best by offering a virtual program titled “MadU.” The 2020 Madison Scouts will be working on the progressive jazz masterpiece, “Strawberry Soup” by Don Ellis. This arrangement is the exact version that fans would’ve been able to experience and enjoy this summer live and in person. Hear a taste of what the 83rd edition of Madison Scouts have in store for you! Brass Score Battery Score Front Ensemble Score ⚜️🍓⚜️🍓⚜️🍓⚜️

  15. I'm challenging every DCP member to post your support here. My pledge: I will give every dollar of my refunded Friends membership, plus my refunded finals week ticket costs, directly back to the corps. Approximately $4,400. Further, I will pledge immediately up to $2,600 additional contributions to individual corps. Total $7,000 because I LOVE this activity and what it does for young musicians. I'm also thankful to John Donovan and all the mods for giving us this sandbox in which we can stay connected to it.
