  1. let's be honest...a topic comes up, it ends up heading into Covid talk, with various viewpoints that may or may not be politically driven start fights, then the thread gets shut down. so really what else is there to discuss?

  2. Linda Reike - 1972 Anaheim Kingsmen. In several sections instructors were also marching members. She was a graceful-regal presence on the field and did a perfect “Highland Fling” during Folksong Suite. She was extremely talented, focused/disciplined and did not play. It was a disappointment she could not participate in our 2007 reunion gig at DCI.

  5. I’m from WI also. It doesn’t bother me so much that they can’t be counted until election day but rather that people expect instant results. Democracy is messy!

  10. The" best" Drum Majors are not what fans see on the podium at all. Thats only a small fraction of their responsibilities as a matter of fact. The " best " Drum Majors are leaders off the field. They are the ones that are the most selfless, most self sacrificing, most loyal, most hard working. They are student leaders by example. They embody everything the Corps wants to be in character traits. They make each marcher in the Corps seem special ( because, lets face it, they all are ) As such, some of the " Best " Drum Majors in Drum Corps are not even seen in the Top Corps, some years. This thread would be best served if it asked us " what Corps Conductors do we most enjoy watching directing their Corps in Show performance competitions " ?
