  1. I'm really disappointed with people using the term "negative" regarding opinions based on everything that has happened during this pandemic. How about this, turn off the human condition regarding illness and death and then we might not be so "negative." I guarantee you that there are more people on this forum affected by what is/has been going on than are indicating so. Will the half-million mark of deaths in the US as a result of this convince others? Oh my, I'm being negative.

  3. They’re super polite in Maine. I almost passed out when a motorist stopped and waved us out to let us turn left at an intersection. I mean, they’re all like that. Here, they’d shoot you before they’d let you out.

World famous jazz pianist Chick Corea, inducted into the World Drum Corps Hall of Fame in 2018 for distinguished professional achievement, died February 9 at age 79 from a rare form of recently discovered cancer. 12. People in Maine and Vermont are some of the kindest Americans one could ever meet. Life there is quite different than many other states. The pace of life is a lot slower....friendlier. So many genuine personalities. You go there during normal times and you instantly feel at peace.

  13. Maybe DCI should dump Indy & move it to Maine.

  14. I would hope they discussed this & everything else that they could think of that could impact the 2020 event. And I really hope the Corps representatives at the meeting were the people that understand the business/financials of Drum Corps & not just the people on the design/creative side. Without solid business foundation there is nothing for the creatives to build on.

  15. I also think housing and insurance are potential problems. I would hope that things like transportation, housing and insurance were discussed at length during DCI's Winter Meeting.

  17. I’m hearing rumors that there are more than a handful of corps that are weighing options at this point, including some of the big guns. Also hearing this is going to be more of a free for all, no judging, standstill style show with everything but the kitchen sink. If this is the case I will pass and wait for 2022.
