  1. all it took was the first hit from cadets 00 live for me to realize that my initial aversion to Bb was based on pure nonsense i had concoted for whatever reason. the only thing i really notice now is that bass lines and screamers came through clearer BITD because of their higher pitch. i kind of miss that aspect of the brass sound a small number of corps could pull off on G. other than that, i'll trade it for the benefits to musicality the switch to Bb provides. worth it for what i find pleasurable to listen to.

  2. In other words...the return of 1st and 2nd tour. We did this in the 70s and 80s.

  3. I'll likely be there. But it's a 50-minute drive. Will be fun to see some drum corps again. But will also be interesting to see what DCI puts together and how they execute it.

  5. Thats what i'm talking about. All the stupid stuff people yell. I've got no problem with applause. I just don't care to hear how much little jenny loves her sister from another mister and how she's going to slay etc etc. Or the giant a$$ that always screams something during a soft moment.

  7. I will be there with the Crossmen. I would have went even if I was not with the corps. Looking forward to the Spring and Summer!

  8. It's not just the difference in horn sound. Recordings prior to Lucas Oil had a lot more audible audience reaction.

  9. I’ve been to Finals every year since 2004 and plan on going this year. I just wish the event details weren’t so cryptic. I know everything is pending but would like to know what the intended format is going to be.

  10. This is Ronny's sister. That video was taken in 2019 during the DCI championships. Ronny slipped and fell on his back n the bathroom of the hotel he was staying at in Indiana and was even in the hospital, but even in all his pain, he wanted to be there no matter what to see 'his kids'. He is the red dot (probably wearing USC shirt) and shouting "BLUE DEVILS!" They all knew he had fallen and were happy to see him. They were either pointing or giving the #1 sign because they had just won, again.

  11. Now you mention that Sam... There was graffiti in Swope Hall at West Chester University where several Cadets of note were attending at the time in a practice room. "Do the Cadets Drummers like their 7th place percussion ring?" a few days later, scrawled underneath: YOU BET
