Those saying Vanguard is back with the exception of the guard I can't quite agree with that. The guard is doing what they do very well. I say the problem is the color of uniforms,that print disappears on field, and the color of all of the flags they are using. Change the uniforms and flags to brighter colors and I would think that alone would bring up the scores. But hey they are consistently climbing and narrowing the gaps anyway so I have faith in what they are doing. I think it was just a poor choice of color this year. I guess we will find out on Saturday how they stack up.

Every live performance I have seen and recording I have it is sung as Turandot with emphasis on the final t. Ping, Pang, and Pong sing it over and over when they sing "dove regna Turandot". Listen to a recording it's there.

The yard lines are barely visible. Not safe. I can't believe they just spray painted them on. They should have paid to get them done right. This I believe.

I was at the show on the 40 yard line and BD is way too amplified this year. I don't mind amplification if it is done right, this was not. Granted first exhibition I will give them time to fix it, but ouch, too loud. And the never ending talking. I have no idea what was being said because it was too loud and distorted. Maybe that was the idea, they are just adding noise to the show? The horn line was one of the loudest I have heard. The guard was hot. And the uniforms, well they work as intended. I am not a huge BD fan, haven't been since the early 80's but musically I like this show. It will be fun to see it again over the season. SCV was loud. Forget last year, which I loved, if you want the old loud and lush SCV this is it. The show is going to be great. There were some musical moments where you would swear Gail was standing on the 50 smiling. I can't wait to see this one clean up.

Whatever the outcome, what a great year for the kids and the fans! Some of the most entertaining shows and placements in years.

I just haven't liked a Cavalier show since 2002. I appreciate what they do and how they do it but I am just not a fan. I would however like to buy one of their guard uniforms at the end of the season to wear when I am in a lost tribe of the Amazon kind of mood.

Seeing the look on the kids faces after Crown performs is just inspiring. They are having the time of their lives and are performing the heck out of that show. What a great feeling for them. Great show Crown!

Just got kicked out of Fan Network and when I logged back in is automatically started playing the Atlanta show from a couple weeks back. WTH? Horrible service today.

My feed keeps cutting out. This is getting real bad, can't imagine how bad it will be once the top 12 come on and more people start logging in. And I am on a 1gbps line at work.

Wow BDB, I know that they are excited that they made it to Semi's and I guess they have nothing to lose now, but that was some out of tune over blowing at the end as well as during the ballad.

Cadets!!! I don't care what anyone else says, that is the most amazing show this year. Well played, well executed, well staged, well told, well done!

Am I the only one not excited about the infinity chord? Performers sticking out, sound coming in and out and not blending, that's not exciting. Playing a note that long does nothing to add to the music if it isn't performed right.

SCV is performing so early again. I don't understand how that is justified when they are consistently scoring above Boston, Madison and Bluecoats.

After watching some amazing shows tonight, maybe this will be the year that the Devils will get that you can't just pose and play well. The fans reaction was apparent. So many visually and physically demanding shows this year need to be rewarded.

Hopkins as much as you would like to be, you are not part of the show so sit the heck down. Your pacing is only distracting to the show and not adding to the GE.

I have been reading through some of the topics but I haven't come across this yet. Does it bother anyone else that Blue Devils have 2 mics pointed at the field? It's obvious that the trumpet soloists are using them as they stand directly in front of the mics each time, exception is the opening soloists. Even the trio stands in front of one of the mics. I have been to 3 of the shows this last weekend and I understand now that the corps is so amplified that you couldn't possibly hear the soloists if they were not in front of a mic. Yes the horn line is loud. But the pit is so amplified that at times I felt as if I was at a rock concert. I enjoy the show, musically it is well executed and performed, but the use of mics for soloists and for the horn line when ever they are up front seems a bit much. What's next wireless mics on each horn? Just my thoughts on the matter.

Don't care if the tables turn, but I am tired of seeing the chairs unfold...
