associated degrees are usually AA, AS, or AAS. I had to look it up, and an AD from Carnegie Mellon is "A full-tuition-scholarship advanced study program for highly gifted young professionals preparing for exceptional careers." So a full ride for an artistic prodigy is what I'm reading from it. Must be nice.

Scott Boerma is a gift. I feel like this year's show was fantastic musically and will get some people wanting to go there to be a part of that. Didn't get nearly the attention it deserved musically, IMO. Can't wait to see where they go with the new vis team. I feel like they can up the difficulty by 50% or more.

30 years from now (if DCP and DCI are still around) somebody will say something pretty much verbatim about today's drum corps vs 2053 drum corps. If DCP had been around in in 1993, you would find a thread pretty much verbatim about '63 drum corps vs '93 drum corps. For the record, I'm in lockstep with the op regarding personal preference for the activity. The early 90s are my favorite era of DCI by far as well. But even early on in the days of the internet (late 90s early 00s) there were "dinos" trashing the era that I loved and propping what they loved up as superior. Same as it ever was.

Let Scott boerma keep doing his thing. I think Madison got back on the right track this year musically and as.the talent level increases Mr boerma can be more aggressive with his arrangements. Best destiny for this corps going forward imo.

BD 91 was great. 2012 was at least a partial redo in my eyes.

Followed their own instructions on their help section to try to cancel through the app and it was impossible. If the only way to cancel is through the site, no problem, but get rid of the app instructions in the help section if its not going to work. That was 4 days ago so they may have fixed app cancellation. Emailed them and they cancelled it immediately.

I'm just wondering what new pieces they'll come up with that mind#### everybody with rhythm again. They've introduced me to the best new stuff for the past 10 years, I swear.

i knew from the get go that design was going to medal if they had even a decent performance come finals. i felt like their best was quarters, but tonight wasn't quite the disaster that so many talked themselves into, i guess. if they hadn't won the ott i would have even less faith in what dci music judging has become. cannot WAIT for next year.

that performance level was just unreal. undeniable.

they are extra crispy tonight to start off. wow. i feel like they've definitely upped the tempo just a tad and it's just rockin! that whole first act was just perfect. ....and it got better from there. that was a shut yo mouth performance for any naysayers left lol.

on one hand, the mix tonight is giving a ton of synth and the overall balance sounds weird. on the other hand, I feel like i could actually hear the pit tonight in excellent balance with the battery for every corps, so that was nice. and and there was quite a bit of horn stuff that i literally heard for the first time with tonight's weird mix, and that's also been pretty cool.

holy ####! i feel like they nailed everything tonight. and that is a LOT of demand to hit. a truly beautiful production and performance. BLOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO
