Nope.... We've (Reilly) been canceled. Not sure what happened, that's way above my pay grade... heh Donna and I have rescheduled us to attending Sky Alumni's BHOF. Looking forward to getting some audios, videos and pics!... (Donna will be a guest with the Brassmen Alumni's Honor Guard for the BHOF) My good friend (Fran) is MC'ing the Maryland Drum Corps Hall of Fame in Baltimore that night...

Was emailing back and forth with our friend "The DON". He asked if I would let everyone know...... Don's Health update.... Subject: news about my heart *Donald Incardona <donincardona@gmail.com> Fri, Mar 13, 2015 at 6:26 PM i went to the doc today and we reviewed my last echocardiogram. this is mt internist. we found that one ventricle is akinetic. this means there is a dead spot there. the echo said my ejection fraction is 40 % but he said with that dead spot it can't be right. it HAS to be power. i concur. it's how i feel. and that dead spot is because sometime, and we don't know when, i had a heart attack! i guess because i have diabetes i didn't feel it when it happened. it's not from clogged arteries. it's from the ventrical fluttering or something. i was stunned. so i just thought i'd pass this sugar plum along. so for now we are all caught up. -- " THE DON " *Tony W <sunriserdm@gmail.com> Fri, Mar 13, 2015 at 11:15 PM To: Donald Incardona <donincardona@gmail.com> DA%N!! Sit down and take care! heh Thanks for the update, really.... take care my brother. (I don't want to be looking for another twin, ya know what I mean? LOL) *Donald Incardona <donincardona@gmail.com> Sat, Mar 14, 2015 at 8:27 AM To: Tony W <sunriserdm@gmail.com> well my brother i'm doing the best i can. it just shows us we really have no control over all this stuff. i was always proud that with all my illnesses i never had a heart attack. now i can't say that. since i don't have the people on GW email addys please let them know. i know most care about me. -- " THE DON "

Yes, and there still is.... (In the Alumni Corps / Parade Corps realm)
-
Oops..... I forgot that..... Sorry.

I agree George.... The Bridgeport parade was "different".... WAY too many Drum Corps fans that knew when a (Sr) Corps stopped near them to get them to play offering open coolers was one good way to hear them play a tune or two... True story, B'Port parade mid 80's. We (Sun) stepped off and I gave a roll off..... I heard the Drum Line, Sops and mid-range. NO lower brass.... Looked back and all of them had their arm through the tubing with an adult beverage in one hand and a hot dog (or something to eat, though a couple had a second beverage) in the other hand. I learned to LOOK BACK before a roll off!

Donna also loves marching parades... I never cared for marching parades though I know we used to (most times) make good money doing them.... 10 yrs playing Bari, 1 in the Hurc's Rifle Line and 10 more with Sun. (though those DM white gloves were a LOT lighter than the Bari and Rifle. LOL I seem to remember a lot of marching/walking backwards while the Corps (Sun) was playing that that was tough(er) on the calfs.... heh Now I drive the "case van" behind Reilly. Air conditioning in the summer, heat in the cooler weather. And It's nice and dry when it starts raining too! I think I can do another 10 years of parades this way....
-
As soon as we (Reilly) know, I'll let ya know!!
-
*IF* Reilly isn't marching the parade in Harrisburg that's a possibility!
-
Reilly has a parade scheduled (In Harrisburg and tentative so far) on the same day as the Sky BHOF, but if that cancels or doesn't become confirmed, Donna and I will be sitting in the front row. Looking forward to getting some photos, audios and videos!! AND, of course.... We'll be setting up a pitcher (or two) for that MC guy as well!!

Hi Chris! I agree, this is a GREAT thread sharing photos of the Drum Corps activity! Hoping this is helpful, as to how to post photos here on DCP.... How to put pictures in a post thread (on DCP) http://www.drumcorpsplanet.com/forums/index.php?showtopic=104608 one answer http://www.drumcorpsplanet.com/forums/index.php?showtopic=99685 another http://www.drumcorpsplanet.com/forums/index.php?showtopic=97412 another http://www.drumcorpsplanet.com/forums/index.php?showtopic=94194 another http://www.drumcorpsplanet.com/forums/index.php?showtopic=91262 and even the one I asked... (all the way back on Dec 17 2005) http://www.drumcorpsplanet.com/forums/index.php?showtopic=73399 Hope one or more of these are helpful...

I agree.... Not that anything I have to say about it matters much. JMHO. Who knows, maybe it's time I go play somewhere else as well... The GW thread was fun and I did enjoy wearing my name badge. Think it might be time to leave that hanging in the hall closet with my DC hats.
-
I agree, any of these three choices would be accurate.... I would "vote" for # 1 as my first choice and # 2 and my second choice. (just my 2 cents)

Welcome home Ray!! Sorry for not being around here for several weeks. (or anywhere for that matter, I missed my first Alumni DC show in over 4 years... The Reilly Raiders' Shamrock Festival this past Saturday.) Slowly recovering from a "flu type" head and chest infection and still battling a thyroid imbalance..... With preexisting health conditions, ANY respiratory infections hit me a lot harder and last a lot longer.
-
Not that I remember...
-
Congrats Ray!! Can you shoot me an email when you get back east so I can update the Alumni database? Thanks in advance! ;-)
-
Agreeing with Fran, Ray and others.... Though I've been busy with other stuff and away from the GW thread for a while.... What ever it was that got "The Don" banned I find it hard to believe it was any worse that stuff that has gotten others a "time out" for a few days. Sorry to see my twin "dismissed" from theses boards.... BRING BACK THE DON!
