  2. I'd pay a lot of money to not see a company front from my Cadets for the next...umm...5 years
  3. Not what I meant at all. I only meant that he might be at the show to support her. (I marched. I know them both)
  4. Are you going after Boston in the same way? They haven't announced in publicly in a statement. Who really knows what they're going to do? I will never understand why so many people on here think they should be entitled to have the first shake at information that is meant for a corps' membership.
  5. I think what might be a bigger concern of the tour happens as scheduled is schools that are still in session deeper in the summer to make up for lost days

  7. Contracts for each position have not been awarded yet. Members are fully aware of this going in
  8. Yeah man...I would give my left...for this to have been my age out
  9. Excited: April, Jay, Jon Super Excited: Matt S., Denise MOST EXCITED: CURTIS U!!!
  10. Hopefully it won't end up as "you can do better."
  11. I'm curious if he actually would have legal recourse. If an acquittal were to take place and GH were to deem that his removal from the HOF had caused him serious professional damages, would he not be entitled to compensation from those damages?
  12. I'd rather see a tuition cap across the board, with set expectations on what every member is to get from that money (number and quality of meals, type of housing, etc.) and let the higher up schmucks figure out the rest of the cost without driving member fees up
  13. Ooooh...I wanna know who's coming home 😍
  14. Have you watched them rehearse this year? I'm not asking for over-rehearsed for the sake of over-rehearsal. But there is a distinct lack of focus and drive that I'm accustomed to...and I'm talking from within the corps
  15. Soapbox: They need to rehearse like Cadets again. Not take pride in doing the opposite, because the people at the top are taking it easier than the Cadets of yesteryear. Is not the (insert name) Cadets vs. today's Cadets. It's the corps that, hopefully has top tier instruction and is willing fight like hell to overcome adversity. The corps isn't as talented as the corps of yesteryear, and definitely not as talented as those ahead of them. Go out, out work them, and do the work that needs to be done when it need to be done. ...soapbox off Hire more people who know what it means to be a Cadet!!!!
  16. Find a new or different brass arranger (Jay Bocook, please) Find a new or different visual designer (Jeff Sacktig, maybe) Put the reins on the show coordinator Get Justin Heimbecker involved with the corps again in some capacity #solutions
  17. It's not just the opener of this show. The arrangements over the past three seasons have been a bad choice. They are not scored in a way that helps the corps sound its fullest. That is (IMO) the biggest part of what worked with Jay Bocook's books (and Klesch, George, etc.). Getting a new brass arranger (in addition to visual designer) have to be of the highest priority for next year
  18. There are definitely two of these positions I hoped would be different..............
