  1. We dont have a capable stadium in St Louis, the dome sucks balls
  2. DCI was already scheduled, NASCAR and Indy Car scheduled their event knowing what weekend DCI will be here. I am sure Visit Indy is happy for the revenue, but I am no longer lamenting not being able to go to Indy this year.
  3. not likely since "Visit Indy" is the convention and visitor commission that owns and runs LOS and the Indy Convention Center not the School Districts
  4. Drum Corps International and Visit Indy announce multi-year contract extension (dci.org)
  5. DCI just signed a deal to keep championships in Indy thru 2033...and no way Nashville could guarantee the same suuuuuper low rental rate DCI pays for using LOS.
  6. JHC, let it go. it was a mistake...Dan acknowledged the mistake, move on.
  7. I think they have had a "Super Monday" sale in december, i suppose they will hav ethe same in 2023...definitely after the schedule is released in november.
  8. Dang, Cadets.... Fabulous performance. My wife isn't really into corps, but she really liked that
  9. Probably because the rent on the facility isn't very much, it's always very well attended
  10. As do I, and have been to the brickyard 400 several times. People will be staying downtown mostly except for qualifications and the actual race. It's going to be much busier than a typical finals week.
  11. Friday, Saturday, Sunday are the dates. Fans probably start showing up mid week I presume
  12. Heads up, Indy Car series, NASCAR Cup series, and Nascar Xfinity Cup series are in town all weekend for events at the Indianapolis Motor Speedway (IMS). Ride share, restaurants, public transportation will be nearing capacity.
  13. Heads up, and this is for everyone, Indy Car series, NASCAR Cup series, and Nascar Xfinity Cup series are in town all weekend for events at the Indianapolis Motor Speedway (IMS). Ride share, restaurants, public transportation will be nearing capacity.
  14. But they don't have a multi billionaire NFL team owner running it
  15. That's what happens when public money is used to build a stadium, them let the primary tenant operate it and keep the profits
  16. I remember watching the Sons of Ben documentary...and all of the development it promised.
  17. as has been stated, the issue is with the supply chain for new benches, Nothing ASD or DCI can do about that. Its an issue with many things nationwide. I would sincerely doubt the venue ever changes unless there is a rift in the long standing relationship between ASD and DCI and the city itself.
  18. always...every time i have traveled to Salem for the show. Every. Time.
