Before '03, Mon, Tues, Wed used to be Div II/III championships and Thurs, Fri, Sat was for Div I and the top 5 from Div II/III championships could perform in the Div I Q'finals. Many times Div II/III corps would become top-21 Q'finalists (93 Crown, 92 S'wind, 93 Norhern Aurora, 99 patriots, 00 SCVC, etc.).

Those of us that remember the encroachment rules during finale. don't encroach on another corps 10-yard space or there will be 'you know what' to pay.

Given my experiences in NYC on 9/11/01...the Boston '02 show always brings me to tears like it did when I saw it at '02 finals.

OK Rant Time... Are we really having this discussion. My god. ITS A FREAKING SHOW. I am going to take a wild stab at this and say of the tens of thousands of people that will see PR's show this year will not take out a broadsword and stab anyone. Have as a society become this whimpy that we cant stand to see non-bloody, fake violence to further an entertainment storyline? Are we saying that one of the greatest films in history cant be shown or portrayed because of some faux-violence? Is PR supposed to tailor their creative efforts to make sure the crowd is not offended? GIVE ME A SMALL BREAK PEOPLE!!!!!!!!!!! Like one poster before said...IT'S A SHOW, AN A DARN GOOD ONE...I can attest to that. Get off your high horses and quit trying to tell us what is and is not appropriate for a DC show. That is all.

Here we go again...let the fun start.

I really dig the new Scouts new unis those are keepers, very sharp. But they have to clean the feet and the bodies. PR was very entertaining, lots of potential, but Cavies right now are still about a week or 2 ahead in my mind. I love how Crown was able inter-twine many musical selections...like the ballad, clare de lune with wss among others. Again, I am not hooking on to the boxing theme of the Bluecoats, but like last years criminal and 06's connexus, it may grow on me. Like I have said, I love the pit uni's and guard uni's for cavies, but I would like to see this on the cavies DM: But it wont happen. Great review, I agree the seats on the 10 YARD LINE stunk but the pics cane out well, thank you Canon PowerShot S3-IS.

I love the use of the "shirt and red tie" along with the dark green jacket. It uses some of the old school uni and the dark green of the previous old ones. I am telling you the best use of uni's is the cavies. The samurai guard, the teiko drum pit, the only thing missing is the DM dressing like a shogun. I am not thrilled with the Bluecoats though. Boxing? Really? Nice use of the speed bags, but BOXING?!!?!!?! I did like the Carnival theme by the glassmen. It will be competitive to get the top 12. The Samurai show is awesome...hands down...it will be hard to beat.

OK one thing I failed to add were MY RANKINGS, with this 5 judge system it kind of wierd so I am disregarding scores till the full panel is seated. I just returned to my hotel after coming from this show and I was impressed. It will be one heck of a competitive season for the top-5 once again. I suck at reviews so I will be brief. 1 Cavaliers - WOW!!!! well programed, well performed, well designed. Has Title written all over it. The Guard in samurai get-ups and the pit in taiko garb. 2) PR - The guard uni's are awesome and the music is splendid. Great spot where the whole corps is marching in a goosestep and some good work with wooden swords and makeshift shields. The programming is well done and may, i say may be a contender if they liven it up a bit...I know its early, buy the are well behind cavies right now. 3) Crown - You wanted accessable music...YOU GOT IT!!!! They are all over the place here. The ballad ahs a great intertwining of Clare de Lune and A Place for us from WSS. A little Marriage of Figaro, 1812 overture all sorts of fun. 4) Bluecoats - um, yeah...i am not sure this boxing theme will jive nice use of props though. 5) Spirit - Very enjoyable, this show has finals written on it. Need som uning, but well done. 6) Glassmen - Cool show, should be doing better. 7) Colts - Great music selection and the guard unis are well done. very, very entertaining. I was diggin' that show. 8) Scouts - I love it. The show rules. Energetic. Fun. Engaging. gurad uni's are spectacular and the corps unis are Friggin' Sweeeet. Now for the bad....worst in M&M all night, feet, body, nasty. Gotta clean that up and they will compete for 10-12 in Indy/Bloomington. I have taken a massive amount of photos from my crappy seats (side 1 10 y/l) and I will post a link as soon as possible.

You have that live TV aspect for one. The quality difference between a streaming video broadcast and a live TV broadcast. Mind you it is just an unqualified opinion and obviously changes will need to be made. I would pay for a higher bandwidth tv stream rather than an internet stream. I also would like to see finals live with commentary.
