  2. Prior to the season, I was excited for BD and skepitcal about cavies. Afterwards, Cavies had my favorite show and BD bombed....
  3. The way a corps can't just pick four kick-### songs and play them (like "back in the day") and still have a shot at finals....Not that I don't like what's going on today, just that everybody's so careful about their selections within a thematic sense, that it creates for a lot of shows to be not exciting or entertaining the whole way through the show--you know, just maybe the ballad or closer or etc..
  4. repost about you over-hyping your ballad because nobody else will? /truth off
  5. can't believe nobody's mentioned Cadets 2000
  6. Thematically, Angel was a good choice. However, it couldn't be more of a boring and seemingly emotionless piece. That is, of course, in retrospect among the other ballads. Cavies on the other hand greatly dug into the emotional side of their piece. The use of the upper-range baritones facing back-left field, and the mellos on the ladder that just yanked on your heart-strings. Cadets' was ok. Yes execution was "perfect," but the emotion seemed written and not so much performed. Crossmen get the thumbs up for the a cappella brass and swing flags. Beautiful...
  7. Jeff (I think that was his name) of BD fame from 2000-2002 Now THAT guy got the job done...
  8. No, its not just you. Unfortunately, that's generally the balance that BD has fallen into since 2000.
  9. '90 Star - "Oh my god! The baby's burning!" ...no clue what that was about...
  10. Yeah, quality of production wasn't too great, but... I'm still laughing from VK . . . haha. And georgia from '80 Spirit . . . yeehaw!
