  1. Southwid broke from the Madison organization.
  2. I'm sorry I didn't clearly state my question. I wasn't asking how are you awarded the status, I was asking what the difference is? If you aren't a voting member, what privileges do you get as an associate that you don't get as an affiliate?
  3. What is the difference between associate members and affiliates?
  4. You don't always need kids, I was sitting next to a 40+ year-old in 2005 that said that Boston Crusaders in red and pink (guard) made him hungry. :P b**bs :P He said it looked like a shrimp cocktail...
  5. The St. Peter and South St. Paul shows were perfect for us (Frontier). I would love to go have TWO weekends with two shows each but I think it is going to be really difficult to put on a show in a location without a local corps. New shows require a lot of local friends and families to build the initial crowd following. Memphis is the perfect location to get the the northern and southern DCA-C corps (and maybe 1 or 2 NE visitors) together but the second show seems difficult to nail down.
  6. I have multiple versions of many corps from throughout the season in 2005 & 2006 before that I have; 75 ms, 78 xmen, 85 vk, 85 ms, 88 sky ryders, 88 ms, 89 phantom, 89 scv, 91 star, 92 ms, 94 ms, 95 ms, 97 xmen, 97 ms, 99 colts, 99 ms, 99 scv, 00 bac, 01 xmen, 02 cadets, 03 bd, 03 ms, 03 phantom, 03 xmen, 04 cavies, 04 scv, 04 ms
  7. Is alum Nick Williams ready for a director's job yet?
  8. Ah, Matthew Kilanowski, we finally have a name to go with the only non-texan who was supporting the ^0^ fire ^0^ theme! We hope to see that shirt in Rochester (I may make you an offer for it).
  9. All-ages were invited to the DCA family party at Patrick’s. I think all of the under-21 members of Frontier were there including my 15 year-old son. All of the kids got to eat a burger or bratwurst., watch some great DCI (and Scouts alumni!) videos AND laugh and joke and enjoy the other members of their corps and other corps who are 8 to 80! sarcasm on Now that’s something I don’t want my kids to read about. sarcasm off Thanks to Patrick’s for providing a party that didn’t exclude the kids; I know my son’s DCA experience is richer from it!
  10. Spoken like someone who is an a corps with a uniform that they WANT to party all night in...
  11. The DFW Metroplex has a show, we just have to trick some DCA judges into coming down here. ^0^
  12. No one jumped out in my mind, the great are still great and no one seemed to move into another level. So, I just checked finals placements comparing last year to this year and only two corps moved more than one position up, Blue Devils and Glassmen, and each of them only moved up two spots. I therefore vote for Blue Stars who aren't on the poll.
  13. I think I wrote this! I totally agree with your assessment of EVERY corps.
  14. The scores were sometimes posted BEFORE they were announced in the stadium (from the live feed). Wow, good job.
  15. West of what? Most shows ARE west of Atlanta.
  16. Frontier is staying in two adjacent hotels, Residence Inn Rochester West/Greece and Courtyard Rochester West/Greece.
  17. I just can't determine this because there are too many shows each year to balance things out. Take 2005, there are complaints about Cadet, Cavies and BD but I think 5-12 are probably the best in history at each position. So does disappointment at the top take away from eight enjoyable shows? I might watch 2005 before I watch what many consider the best 93, 89, 80; it just depends what I'm interested in that day.
  18. Wow, four out of my five, must be something in the Texas water. I would change BD from 98 to 94. Either way, you get five perfect "listening" shows.
