  1. We are going to Madison for DOP and had a few questions. I haven't been there for DOP for quite awhile so please update me.

Is it still picture day at the capital for the corps?

Do they still do a standstill the day of the show after pics?

My guess is no but it doesn't hurt to ask.

and last....where is the best prices for gas - Ohio, Indiana or IL.

Pictures are today (from their website below) but since the are doing Madisonic tonight, I doubt there will be a standstill.

The Madison Scouts return to the Madison area this weekend with the CWC concert, photos at the Capital and Madisonic on Friday. Saturday they travel to Naperville for a show, but return Sunday for the 57th annual Drums on Parade.
  2. I would agree with you that I would NOT want to find out that way at a SHOW. BUT those of us at home are often waiting for scores before we go to bed. I appreciate DCI getting them to us as soon as possible.

An offshoot of this topic should be; why are they doing the encore BEFORE the scores this year?

  3. I agree that Never Walk Alone was the original Glassmen Drum and Bugle Corps Song. Which was started in 1973. I have wondered what year Never Walk Alone became the Madison Scouts DBC Song?

"You'll Never Walk Alone" has been the Scouts' theme song since it was first performed in a 1954 show. Corps members spontaneously sang the song in response to a theme song challenge from a group of Cavies ("Somewhere Over the Rainbow") in 1957 and have been singing it ever since.
