My wife and I had to cancel our plans to see DCI Semi-finals and finals this year. We had already purchased our transportation on Megabus from Minneapolis to Indianapolis round trip. It is a cheap and comfortable way to go, we used them in 2009 and were very pleased. Wouldn't the additional revenue from the expanded Super Premium sections more than pay for the expense? Or, have everyone throw a couple dollars in a can on the way in the door until there's enough $ to open it that night (25,000 fans x $2=$50,000). I know I'd pitch in to help the sound

I just bought tickets for my fiance and I from Minneapolis to Indianapolis for a total of $12.50 one-way! ($1 from Minneapolis to Chicago!) megabus.com The bus stop in Indy is 2 blocks from the center of downtown. Might be worth booking even if you are not sure you're going at that price. Plus riding the bus should bring back some memories. No I don't work for Megabus!

I was there also, and the Colts were easily the crowd favorite behind Phantom. Very engaging show, especially musically. And they deserve mention for actually having guard uniforms-some of the other Div.1 corps were missing them! A big boo to DCI for fixing something that was not broken: Old sequence of announcments when a corps was taking the field: 1."On the field, from Rockford, IL, Phantom Regiment!" 2. "Are the judges ready?" 3. "Drum majors, is your corps ready?" 4. "Phantom Regiment, you may take the field for competition." NEW Sequence 1. "Now entering the field for competition, from Rockford, IL, Phantom Regiment" 2. "Drum majors, is your corps ready?" 3. "DCI proudly presents, Phantom Regiment, from Rockford, IL" and then the show starts. No more "On the Field..." No more "you may take the field for competition" Come to think of it, they didn't even give the show title with the initial introduction! I hope this is not permanent!! <**>

Any instructors who would try and stop some of these proposals from reaching the BOD, pm me. I will serioulsy help with air travel if anyone cannot get themselves there next year. January is a slow travel month, and standby tickets work pretty well this time of year!

I plan on using MARTA from the airport. $1.75 one way with a stop at the dome. Can't beat that!!

I truly believe he talked to the wrong people. I hope your son has a great experience when he marches, no matter what corps he chooses. If his experience is only half as fulfilling as mine was with Phantom, it will be time incredibly well spent.
