  1. Not that anyone cares about my opinion (cuz i know they don't) but here's MY take on the Kingston show. The top three were hot ... the rest were not. Plain and simple. I'm not saying the other corps stank (or is it stunk?) I'm just saying the top three were very strong and quite enjoyable. The others were just were not. As far as someone thinking the top three drumlines should have been Sky, Cru and Brigs ... thats simply laughable. I can only assume that was written by a member of one of those drumlines or by someone who doesn't know anything about percussion. Skyliners were 10th in drums out of 11 corps Cru was 9th and Brigs were 2nd I know, the judges were probably wrong. I'm sure that Sky and Cru will battle it out for high percussion in Scranton. That is unless the White Sabres come on strong that last couple weeks. <no slam intended ... Just trying to point out the lunacy in this person's statement> I expect the top three drumlines at Scranton will be Bucs, Bush and Minnesota. We shall see!
  2. OMG. I was being very sarcastic and actually trying to goat Mr. Rudnicki. He refrained from trashing me. I didn't think he had it in him. There may be hope for him after all. I do agree though that if people express any negativity toward W-S, they get trashed. I thought people were free to have opinions. I'll go wherever they have it.
  3. Not sure why you would take that little victory away from the Bushwackers. I was at the show and liked both corps. I thought it was just as tight as the scores showed it was. But the bottom line is that Bucs were the clear winners and Bush beat the Renegades. Not by a lot mind you, but a "W" is still a "W". Factor in the upstate NY corps and of course the Minnesota team, and we're gonna have a very interesteing DCA in Scranton. Oh by the way ... The Cabs should watch out. I know they're getting better, but the Corpsvets and the Carolina Gold are strong. Hurcs are coming along nicely and there's always the CRU- (yes we know ... THEY GO ON). Could the Cabs drop out of finals? I hope not! As I said, its gonna make Scranton VERY interesting.
  4. WOW. I wonder if we were watching the same Empire Statesman drumline. I thought they were not good at all (is that a politically acceptable way to say it?) The judges seem to have agreed as ES tied Brigs for 4th/5th place in percussion. I remember when the ES drumline was BAD###. I miss those days.
  5. I'm sure i'm gonna be called names for this and everyone will assume I'm not a Skyliners fan, but ... Shouldn't this post be called From the Concrete Canyons of Stroudsburg, PA? Or even Dover, NJ? When was the last time the Skyliners were ACTUALLY from New York? Same goes for Kiwanis Kavaliers. They say they are from Ontario, Canada but rehearse in Florida, USA. I don't get it.
  6. Are your tubas in G ? Just wondering why we're calling the highest brass instrument Trumpets, but the Lowest are Contras and not tubas. (I know someone's gonna accuse me of trolling, but I really AM wondering if the Cabs are "mixing" keys.)
