  7. Is it possible to make the danger Facebook thing go away? I remember the first webcast of the year we could
  8. Thanks Garfield. ...that helped. Still bumpy from time to time, but much better
  9. Ill try that. This is the first time its ever been choppy for me.
  10. The video is so choppy for me that its painful to watch! No one else is having this problem?
  11. Is anyone else's video REALLY choppy? This is the first show that its done that to me.
  12. The Fan Network dealio shows that the APD's should be up today for the Open Class Quarterfinals. Does anyone see them? I was hoping to get the Crusader's before my trip this weekend! Thanks, Nate
  13. Good job Crusaders! Keep up the good work! We'll be rooting for you this week up in the Northwest!
  14. Go OC! Good luck! I didn't realize they were on so early...
  15. Good one! I think it's that I liked Star so much that year! Also, I had played Gvorkna Fanfare before in the concert setting, and the watered-down version Cavies did...just didn't do anything for me.
  16. That's what they were going for! They must be doing something right! Touche` Bluecoats!
  17. Thanks for the review! I hope as the corps move North that the weather isn't so painful. Good luck all!
  18. I'm surprised at how many Cavies 06 and Cadets 05's there are out there. To me...Cavies 06 was the most entertaining of the Cavies shows. And, Cadets 05 was definitely different, and they performed so well! Plus, that ballad was pretty darn cool. All of the opposite choreography with the guard, etc.... too cool. I honestly have TOO many to even start listing... 07 BD 03 BD 95 Cavies 92 Cavies These are a few of my VERY least favorites. Now...how many of those shouldn't have won...probably none...they were all championship shows (well, I still have a hard time with Cavies 03 Spin Cycle not winning).
  19. Vanguard Cadets 88.00 Oregon Crusaders 86.60 Revolutions 81.30 Yamato 78.45 Memphis Sound 78.30 Velvet Knights 76.95
  20. I dig the Blue Stars show! I am really rooting for them to make Finals this year, and possible be as high as 9th! That would be way cool. Kevin Ford was such a great addition to the design staff. Love his drill! Nate
  21. Blue Stars drill writer is Kevin Ford. One name that made me extremely excited to see this corps this year, and he did not disappoint! Love their drill this year! Nice work Kevin. Late, Nate
  22. I've watched the SCV show a few times now, and still haven't been able to REALLY get into it. I am traditionally a big SCV fan. Some of my favorite drum corps memories are all about the Vanguard. Also, the last two years have been very enjoyable shows for me. Lastly, I really like The Chairman Dances, but... First off, the arrangements and pacing of the Chairman Dances is not all too effective (for me). It takes a long time to really get going...BUT, they can fix some of this, and I hope they do. Secondly, the 2nd piece (can never really remember the name of it)... I just don't get it. Everyone says how "jammin'" it is, and it does nothing for me. The drum arrangements do not really show off anything special from the drumline. Everyone says how terrific they are, but I just don't see it yet. I hope they show me more! The "jam" session is awkward and forced to me. The placement of the horns is not the most effective staging choice for this moment. Look back at SCV's '98 and '99 shows, the arcs, right in the middle of the field...guard can be in front, in the middle, in back...all kinds of stuff. When you're jammin', I want to feel it... they are just too far away. Also, the slow tempo of that production (to me) does not warrant such a "jam" moment. Sorry...just not a fan of this section of the show...at all. Lastly, the drill. I keep reading that the drill is so wonderful, etc... Don't get me wrong, it's COOL drill. The last two years have been very cool in drill design. The few problems I have with the drill this year is that it is going to be painfully difficult to clean and there are some spots that just don't make any sense. There is a moment in the opener, while in the middle of a musical phrase, the corps halts... They are facing backfield, and they hornline is in three small triangles... I just don't get it... NOW... There are things that the Santa Clara team can do to fix that...and I know we all hope they do! Keep working hard... we are rootin' for ya! Nate
  23. Blue Stars sounded great, and now I have m y volume doubled...and now I have lame feedback and buzz! It was MUCH better before. It may sound fine now on your computer, but on my surround sound...it is awful
  24. Did anyone else notice a serious sound quality difference after Blue Stars? It's like DCI turned down the volume. I've got no more bottom end through my sound system at home. Also, they need to zoom the cameras back in. Lame
