Man, that dude is young. Surprised he's shaving. Best of luck to him. He's leading a very proud and sacred organization.
Dr Vaughn is a great mentor, he's in good hands.

Excellent choice and Monte Mass is an excellent mentor. The Cavaliers have made great picks to replace the CEO and corps director. Thank you Dr Vaughn and Monte for all your great work with the Cavaliers.

I'm happy Dr. Michael Vaughn will be with Daniel Belcher during the 2024 Drumcorps season. Mike is the best corps director I have ever worked with. I wish Daniel all the success in the world.

I think Scouts played Asturias before. Garfield Cadets played Egyptian Danza in 1981.
Yes, we did.

Well, I’m not sure who Pete is but they already have a “legit” 3-peat. No reason they won’t make it four in ‘24.

The Cadets, Jacob Gall, posted on facebook he will not be returning.
Jacob Gall is a huge loss in my opinion as someone who has been with the corps since 2006, teaching since 2009.
Long tenure during his era with changes in the percussion section design/leadership but he remained through it all. Wishing him the best of luck on his new adventures, wishing the cadets a huge positive vibe trying to find a replacementHOLY CRAP! This is big!

I've marched in or saw every Finals since 1975. I missed 2017 due to my mothers death. I missed 72, 73, 74 because I didn't know there was such thing as drumcorps.

Also, as good as the Cavaliers' percussion was in San Antonio, They performed better the night before in Houston.

Cavies were great up to the new ending. Things fell apart. The new ending will be great by San Antonio.

I am rooting hard for Cavaliers this season but I don't see them breaking into the top 6 with this show. I think we'll probably see Cadets, Cavaliers, and Blue Stars continue competing over the 7th-9th spots while Phantom and Mandarins battle for 5th and 6th.
A 7th place finish for Cavaliers with percussion hitting the top 3 is probably the best we could realistically hope for competitively, and would be an outcome I'm sure the members and staff would be very happy with after last season.
They got rid of most of the staff for a reason. The midseason changes haven't happened yet. The brass and guard are making significant improvements and the changes will improve the GE and Visual scores. We will see what happens at the end.

Having the show at the University of Maryland or Audi Stadium in DC is perfect. Both stadiums are open on that date.
