  1. ??? i liked all but two world class groups, so i must have designed the rest of them?..................... that sounds right :troll food: Nice try though i wish i was that fabulous! if that were true, i would not have near as much time to sit here and bicker with you! gotta run i have 6 rehearsals to b at tonight...
  2. obvoiusly its not up yet, but im sure it will be evident.
  3. what is evident in replay is that they dropped alot. i think the crowd will love the show, the soundtrack is so fragile however, that people dont scream over top of it. the ending is so soft and subtle you could hear a pindrop. and in prelims did recieve a standing ovation. not to mention all the intellectuall things in cgs show, it is about something and has many layers. not just a guard show with no concept, at least when cg did 1812 a couple years ago they had a neat concept, and it was still intellectual in nature. I guess i just like that though. my favorite shows this weekend however were like that, i love the shows that have more to them than, just a guard show, i.e. avon... witches accusations, woven in the show, cg nothing gold can stay, well if you know anything about robert frost, that show has alot of meaning. northview has a great idea, and follows thru with it well. centerville has a really neat idea and they follewed thru as well, i think they are just young this year. carmel loved the on cloud 9 idea with clouds ballons were so cool, they seemed like cherubs in the sky. I just didnt care to much for warren central and burg, as it seemed like just a guard show to music. and in world class i think you should have more ideas than that . but maybe we just have different taste. and that ok. lets face it tho, wgi isnt just about getting the crowd on there feet. if it was... every guard would do a minute long easy clean flag feature at the end of their show to bombastic loud music. whoo hoo
  4. yes they definately out performed cg! as cg had a really bad run, i stopped counting after 8 unfortunate boom booms, but design wise i think cg will best miamisburg signifigantly in the end. of the 10 captions between prelims and finals this weekend 7 had cg in first, and even in the bad finals run most had cg up ! but 1 judge had them down 6 tenths. check out the recap and profiling of these two shows. it doest look too good for miamisburg. But they certainly performed their show well in finals and cg did not. I think that will be obvious on replay. and on march 1st i can see them winning by .1 with those two performances. come to think of it i only saw three world class guards that had good runs, warren, burg and avon. and all three units moved up. but in the end i think the order will be more like prelims, if all perform well.
  5. wow look at least i nailed the placements exactly. i do think the scores for everyone were low, i hope they go up tomorrow. i bet wgi is holding back numbers to leave somewhere to go.
  6. wow, you must be hard to imprees, avon winning movement last year was all about the "norm"???? do tell what movement program does impress you?
  7. i think i politely disagree, just look at avon last year, the first thing they did movement wise ...blew everyone away..and it was no ballet thats for sure. modern dance for modern times people! groups that are approaching movement from a modern standpoint can do just as well if not better. thats where the innovation in dance will come from i think, not in ballet terms as ballet is ballet, all with terms and definition. I think for our activity, that is based primarily around non classicly trained dancers. who generally shouldnt be trying to do ballet (allthough training in ballet is still great) should be using more modern things as a base and that is where we will be seeing different things and those things should get credited. If youve seen avon and centergrove this year you will see what i mean. they both really stand out from the rest as movement is a huge part of both programs, in very different ways, yet both amazing! And both setting standards. without a ballet vocabulary to speak of in most of the choreography.
  8. well, this just in..... logan not going to china was a scam. not true, just rumor and flame to get the fire going!
  9. this just in, my west coast informant who teaches logans drumline, just informed me, that the china trip may be falling thru! and at this point isnt happening. If that is the case, logan will be attending WGI and they have just a little time left to get registered!!! wow!!!
  10. I can tell you, i watched alter ego, and thought i was watching centergrove 2004! same music, angels, wearing white, similiar in many ways i think. thoughts? In a year where old shows are rehashed, is this another song to add to the growing list of songs or ideas redone?
  11. hey calm down this is all in good fun, and i certainly dont want you to not post for a year, who would i argue with. but i do think avon and cg will beat miamisburg! past that.. i think it could be pretty competative so who knows. end of story
  12. i just think wgi needs to add 10 points t the possible overall highest possible score, because at this rate, by 4 weeks from now people will be scoring darn near a 100 3 weeks before wgi finals. what are the gonna do?
  13. i cant wait to see your finals predictions, where the burg overtakes avon..hahaha please do it
