  1. The one I never understood... They are going to win this year, the corps is really hungry! Doesn't that mean the corps that has been out of it the longest is the hungriest and most likely to win this year?
  2. Let me get this right. People were throwing babies for the music in PR's show? While it fully supported the theme and was performed very, very well, that show won people over for its GE. What were people talking about in PR's show...the emotion, plain and simple. A show can win with average music and great GE. I find it hard to think that average GE and strong music gets you there (maybe a little bit like Crown's show this year, although that may be a bit of a stretch).
  3. Congrats to BD for a wonderful season. You sold a very difficult show concept, both in execution and idea. Every time I watched it appreciated it a little more.
  4. Yes this was the closest Finals ever. 0.025 was the winning margin. There have been four instances of wins by 0.1 - '93, '87, '84, and '78. Keep in mind the scoring system changes though. Also this is the first time that the winner of the Semis or Prelims has not taken the championship since SCV beat BD in Prelims and Garfield beat BD in Finals in '83. We all know that this the first clean win by PR, with their only other win coming in '96 with a tie with BD. There is some symmetry in that. One final note. Other than the tie, the closest that PR ever came was in '78 when they tied SCV in Prelims and then lost to SCV by 0.1 in Finals. Congratulations PR. This was a show that will stand the test of time in many ways. The best word to describe this vistory is EPIC.
  5. Congratulations to Phantom. You have earned this with a show that is truly worthy.
  6. Thanks to all the FMMs for the outstanding show. There I was, 4:30 in the morning, yelling at my computer as each segment would end. It was great for a long time fan of this corps. You guys are to be commended for a thoroughly enjoyable show. It was pure entertainment. You served your reputation well.
  7. The execution of the ending may have held off SCV. But not by much.
  8. Nap time. See you after INT's performance. It's 12:33am here.
