  3. Wow, Good for You Guy's.

With numbers like this, "71 brass, 32 percussion, and still growing.".

Is there anyway you can get enough to come and do, the DCA, "Alumni Classic" in Annapolis?.

Heck, maybe get and keep enough to do a "Class A" competing Corps in the near future?

I doubt it. Many are participating BECAUSE it's a one shot deal. However, the corps has been inactive for a couple of years and this might just jump start it again, at least on a local level. As I have been told by the management, "Baby steps"!

  4. There is still time to join us for the Perry 200 Grand Patriotic Parade and concert scheduled for May 25th in Erie. The deadline is fast approaching however. Payment for your uniform ($35 for shirt and cap) is due by April 14th. Join us if you can for this once in a lifetime historic event...71 brass, 32 percussion, and still growing. thunderbirds@erie.net or check us out on Facebook https://www.facebook.com/groups/104040176299910/

  5. Win,place or show, we always took a serious approach. We were out to win, but, we were also out there to ENTERTAIN. The entire show is a waste of time if there is no ENTERTAINMENT.

As far as the OP and the tapes/critique issue: Is there a critique after DCA/DCI finals? I think not. It is the last competitive performance of the year and, as such, gets no critique.

Kudos to all of the mini-corps, serious or not. I am sure you all gave your best and the crowd appreciated it.

Like someone once said, on the mini-corps stage in Scranton,"Have a beeeeah!"

Oh yeah, that was me! :guinesssmilie:

  6. I don't see anything wrong with posting about this in the DCP forum. I've been out of touch for a while, but if there is controversy (inside the drum corps community) surrounding this, well people just better get over it. This is going to do more for our activity than any other single event ever has or possibly ever could.

I guess if this is controversial, "Blast" must just be AWFUL for the activity. (sarcasm off)

Personally, I don't watch that show, but will definitely tune in if "Edge" is on!

Best of luck to these fine drum corps ambassadors!
