  1. Lots of years of Bushwackers experience with that terrific writer! Can't wait to hear it!
  2. Great team of folks! Looking forward to another standard-setting show from the Bucs! Peace, Dennis
  3. That's a terrific team of writers! Can't wait to see what Bush 2011 looks/sounds like! All the best! Peace Dennis
  4. Even if you don't agree with what Frank has to write.....you have to love the way he writes it! Thanks Frank for making us all think about things a little harder and doing what you can to help us all improve the activity! Keep it up! Please!! Peace, Dennis

  6. All great Drum Corps people! Looking forward to seeing what the Cabs bring to the 2011 season! Best of luck guys! Peace, Dennis
  7. My first DCA experience was the 1975 Dream Contest in Roosevelt Stadium Jersey City, NJ. I remember being blown away by all the Corps (Cabs, Hurcs, Sky, Yankee Rebels and Matadors) but I really, really liked the Matadors! My home team had a rough day, so I don't remember too much about that, except for Bob Gironda on those bari solos! Tough to believe that was 35 years ago.......yikes.
  8. Thanks Donny! It is good to be in the game! I have been very lucky to write for and work with some terrific Corps and I am blessed with the opportunity to arrange for the Hurricanes this season with Gary who always makes my charts sound better! I am also humbled to have the chance to work with and learn from Jamey, whose work I have admired for some time! Thanks again for the support! See you soon. Peace, Dennis
  9. I am certain that season after season this is my favorite DCA Discussion thread to read! One year, probably not until the Fall of 2018 when I think I can retire (you hear me Gov. Christie?!), I hope to be TREMENDOUS! Enjoy all! Peace, Dennis
  10. Well, the way I see it... No Fans = No Participants. Just sayin'.
  11. As much as we all love the week before DCAs......I don't like the week after much.....
  12. Hey Ray, I remember back in the day we used to make fun of old guys that started their sentences off saying "I remember back in the day....." But I digress..... Memorial Day meant a killer parade down Broadway and then strutting down that hill into Veteran's Memorial Stadium for our first performance of the season! Shows are harder now.......more sets in one show than we did in three seasons.........members come from everywhere now, not from the next parish..............members go to college now for goodness's sake.......we didn't have guys in college in the Bridgemen.... It was fun then.....it is fun now........Labor Day is still great! I love watching Prelims! Man there are alot of great Corps still out there doing their thing! I wish there were more....like the old days....but I still dig what I see and hear nowadays too. Hope all is well with you Ray! Peace, Dennis
  13. No, my view hasn't changed much...... I still think DCI is about awesome kids doing some amazing things that I wish I could still do! I hope it never ends! Peace, Dennis
  14. But then you will have created a new venue to play your Kanstul Powerbore bugle, therefore no longer needing the shrine to which you are playing.....
  15. And I had the privilege of working on those charts as Caption Head for Bush! Wish I got a chance to meet you back then too Chuck! Hey, by the way, I am not 'killer' and am FAR from elusive....but if you are in a jam in Rochester I'll be sure to have my mouthpiece with me. All the best! Peace, Dennis
  16. I still get charlie horses in my legs thinking about the 2000 show.
