CONGRATULATIONS, CROWN!! AWESOME!! AWESOME!!!! AWESOME!!!!!!!! I have played TRIPLE CROWN so many times in my car the CD player has it memorized! It will probably start playing as soon as I crank up the car without the CD!! When you have grandkids marching in Drum Corps decades from now, they will hear of the summer of '07 and the famous TRIPLE CROWN!

Can anyone enlighten me why CROWN'S top notch colorguard all summer suddenly, overnight became 5th place?????

It was sooooooooo LOUD for CROWN last year it's even on YouTube!! Jeers, screaming, boos at the judges turning into cheering pandomonium -- all recorded!! We were there and it was a RIOT in the stands!!! This year it will be CROWN, CROWN, CROWN all the way!!!!!!!!! BEST SHOW out there!!!!

Talk about starting them out young: I was at a Crown weekend camp in April of this year. Was I ever glad to have our camera with me! As Crown was rehearsing in the parking lot of the high school, there was a small boy of about 3 years of age trying to do everything along with the corps. He was marching, standing at attention, and even had his own minature trumpet! This will be video we will treasue. We have no idea who the child was or his parents -- but they are dead serious about Drum Corps!

The ballad = "separates the men from the boys!" or "separates the great ones from the 'gimmick' ones". You can't hide musical shortcomings in this section of the show. If you don't have a beautiful, rich, resonant tone and great ensemble blend with great breath support, nothing will hide it here! You are naked!! The maturity and the musicianship of a corps is very evident in the piano sections.............listen here for the true champions on the field! All the corps are GREAT! But, hands down, not a doubt, the #1 corps for me is [b]CAROLINA CROWN!!!!!!!!!!!!! :P

I was at the Salem show last night, too. What a great night there. As said above, Crown had a marvelous show and with the polish and nuance of a mature corps. And it's true, SCV had a marcher to completely lose it and fall along with dropped flags. They were just ragged in places and lacked the overall finesse that Crown displayed. This is getting interesting. But Crown was a winner last night in every way. Hope they keep it up, they deserve 6th place this year at Finals.

I was also at the Salem show and true as been said above --- CROWN was marvelous! They were heads and heels above the other corps in polish and style. Their brass sounds were incredible! We know they are weaker in percussion and hopefully they can pull more of that together this next week. But as for last night, they were incredible and should have taken it home in first place. It's the truth, the judges blew this one!
