If I may I would like to say that The Latin Express is alive and well for the 2008 season. We have not made any focus on competitions, instead we are filling out this seasons calendar with a variety of performances. The horn line has grown with addition of some experienced players. This adds to the existing talented , and extremely dedicated, membership. Our percusion section is doing great with the change to a set player and of course the latin instruments. I believe our game plan for the group will pay off in the near future. More to follow.

The Latin Express is pleased to announce that we will be performing for our second year. We have built on the success of last year and expanded our repertoire. Our focus is to continue growing as a group with local performances both Drum Corps related and private. Performance dates will be posted as they become available. I would like to thank the all the help we have been getting from our extended family - The Hawthorne Caballeros, The Hawthorne Caballeros Alumni and the American Legion post 199. Also thank you to the Drum Corps community for making us feel welcome. More to come.

Sorry for the late post to this thread. Thank you Donnie, Your evaluation is dead on. We were missing two baris, the Latin section and our keyboards. We have only been together for about eight rehearsals, so there is still more work to be done. This was our second performance and we still are getting our style together. Gordito and Christian are great trumpet players along with all of the musicians who have been working hard to make this group a success. I wish Prime Time could have been there. It would have been fun to see another group in action. Again sorry for the late post people.....
