  1. Does anyone else think that this could cause a problem with scores at some point in the season. I mean, Mr. Crocker will most undoubtedly have an emotional attachment to the 2006 Phantom Regiment, so who's to say that he doesn't announce their program with some sort of extra zest...or even a subliminal message. I think if Phantom is TOO successful this year, we all have to take a look at how Mr. Crocker announced their name, as opposed to the way in which he announced The Magic. I mean, why should the announcer be allowed to keep The Magic from taking over Phantom Regiment with subliminal messages. It is possible, after all. We are all tired of parity in DCI, and I don't think this situation helps to remedy the problem. Any thoughts??
  2. Well then, Mr. Byron, I think you may be in for a treat sooner than you think!! Just trust me on this one...PM me with any questions.
  3. I have inside sources with the organization that hint at a show whose title will not be "buy," not "lease,"...but I do think I have a link that may secure some of the rumors. It is indeed something old, something new, something borrowed, something blue...and it is sure to make finals. If you PM me, I will send you that link.
  4. Recently, a long-time and loyal member of the DCP community was lost to us all: my dear friend, BassTrombonium. Besides a few ridiculous pictures, this member was very helpful to new people when they asked for help...citing the recent post from October 19, 2005: A new member of the drum corps community was asking for help about baritone...so, BassTrombonium responded: BassTrombonium, while in an effort to make a nice windows background for a Cadet friend, was seeking a picture of the Garfield "G" - from the September 8 topic: Garfield "G" I guess helping people with teaching tecniques is now chastised by the moderators of this forum...citing the February 4 post: It is true, lately there has been some tom-foolery around here...and BassTrombonium has participated here and there. A suspension? Maybe...a Ban? Sounds like a power trip to me. Why don't we lighten up a little...after all, this is drum corps, right? Last I checked, marching corps was pretty fun - seems like the premier forum should reflect the nature of the activity which it "supports". That is all.
  5. You gotta pay your member dues, though. I think we decided on 2 rounds for a rookie.
  6. Are you a financial advisor? Honestly, I have been looking to refinance my home, so if you are, I coul definitely use some advice, if you wouldn't mind of course. PM me if you can help me out. Thanks a bundle!!
  7. Top 4!!!! Oh, wrong topic...I like your column more than Jonnyboy. I'm your biggst fan!!!
  8. In response to the original post...dear God I hope so.
  9. They don't need luck...they have MAGIC....duhh!!!
  10. I got yer back there, buddy. Good times at that little stadium...family fun if I ever saw it!!
  11. I have them in the top 5, myself. Good kids, good pizza...leads to good scores.
  12. What if she emerges from the door at the end of 2005, only to find that it wasn't the end of the dream...she has just been launched into a new sequence of fantasies. After all, what is reality, and what is dream?? Perception...did 2005 ever end??
  13. Nah...free pizza isn't always good...it goes bad after a day or two. And good kids aren't always good marchers, the same way good marchers aren't always good kids. The two are not hand in hand...again, we could use the venn diagram capabilities in this situation.
  14. I doubt it...there are some people who get in based on their wrist speed, and they probably couldn't program a VCR. Well, I have enough trouble with the VCR...I hate that blinking 12:00, so that's a bad example. You get the idea, though...
