  3. I marched with the OLC Ramblers in my junior days and the Sunrisers (french horn, 77-79) in my senior time. BTW, the Parduba Company is selling a remake of the Rudy Muck baritone mouthpiece in three sizes for $75 a piece. Check out their web site.
  4. Fred, I know what you mean. I still have my baritone Rudy Muck (#22) from my junior days. Back in the late sixties they were popular with some of the NYC corps. I believe Kai Winding (a suberb solo trombonist) used a Rudy Muck also. It is HEAVY mouthpiece! No wonder it went flying off your horn.
  5. The story that is going around is that the DCA corps that initially switched to Bb did so because the instrument manufactureres gave them a set of horns for free. If this is true, it seems that the activity is being driven by the bottom line. The sad part is that other DCA corps (like DCI) will be forced to switch just to stay competitive in the eyes of the judges.
  6. L.I. Sunrisers drum line used kazoos in '77 in March of the Wind Up Toys.
