Me I like whomever plays the best music each year. which mean most of the time I root for both. I have donated my photo of the Mandarins from 1971 to the Blue Devils. I asked them to forward it to them. I hope they did.

Yea I seem to know one of those 2015 members. I can recall back at shows thinking we just beat the San Jose and Stockton teams. Looks like we get to rub shoulders with those Vanguard people. The rest is history.Growing up with a Jazz afficianato and a top of the line stereo and hearing the interesting stuff that red team was playing I decided to look for the music they were playing and others all around the area.

I am going to the Sacramento show. Stanford seating blows.

I am really excited to see Mandarins! My son's writing partner is teaching battery. They took his old HS indoor line to 10th at WGI west first trip and just missed finals in Dayton with the independent line. Bay Area has a really strong circuit which is knocking on the powerful So. Cal door.

I do not care if they sit down in chairs for the whole show. I want interesting music instead of insipid pop which I understand there is PLENTY now. Thank you Crown for playing some really great stuff this year! You have truly earned my respect from what I saw so far.

I think this years BDB drumline is insane and would not be surprised if they knock off some WC corps this year. I like their show better than A corps show.

Last year at Finals I said SCV will win in 2019. I have heard nothing about them but I still think they have something.

yea I kind of know one of their instructors. 😉 I just heard last nights run-through and he says this is the best pit he has taught. The staff are all very close and the director is band director for the school that produces more BD members of all 3 corps than any other place by far.

BDB show is incredible. A corps is good but doesn't thrill me like past shows have. still have not seen or heard SCV and cat's.

I have been hearing good stuff. I will see them live in Sacramento. I think this year is going to be very different.

Honestly I prefer Crown this year over BD. Yes thats right I said it. Still looking forward to SCV and Cav's shows.

This must be opposite year. So far the only show I like is Crown. Just when I had decided I have had it with cheesy drum corps shows. I still have faith in SCV though, They never let me down.

Oh brother.

I saw Crown last night on video. wow. Sounds to me like BD and Crown are taking styles from each other.
