Now wait a second.... First of all I am all for having a good summer and "throwin down", and good sportsman ship and whatever. But lets be frank, Drum corps is compitition, there wouldn't be placements and there sure as hell wouldn't be a top three (bronze, silver and gold) if it wasnt a big factor. I dont think drum corps would be as fun if we didnt have corps "beating" other corps and I know people agree. We definetley wouldnt have these "fun" prediction posts either. Lastly, I dont know about anyone else, but I would def. want a ring. :P

He's just one of the many that had them in 10th or below for no reason, and BK came out and made 7th. Blue Knights will do what they need to do. I am more than positive they know Boston, Madison, and most definetley Crown will be on their ### this summer. They arent stupid Ive heard things are changin a little up there in Denver, Co for the better of the corps so they dont have another 2000-2001 incodent. BK will more than likely change things around this summer so they will be back defending a top 6 spot (2000). Another Dark show can't wait btw. ^0^

2007 - Not the best season for drum corps because so many are leaving the feild for this summer and I beleive 2006 was one of the best so it will be hard to follow. 1. Cavaliers - Why not again ... 2. Phantom - So close infact beat Cavies unitl mid-season .... but come up short once again 3. BD - Blow us out of the water ... amazing show. 4. Cadets - going back to a more fan-freindly show ... goes up in placement. 5. Bluecoats - Lose a lot of their age outs ... un-able to fully pass up cadets ... maybe come super close ... but cadets beat them quarters 6. Blue Knights - Most people had them in their predictions at 14th for the 2006 season and they made 7th, hmmm ... retain a lot of their members and slowly but surely work their way up through the summer like they always do, start low; finish placing high. 7. Santa Clara - Start out slow finish the same way, neck to neck with Bk and Crown all summer. Lot of compitition here in the 5-8 placement range. 8. Crown - Start out year very strong placing 6-7 th all summer ... not neccessarily losing steam just others got better. Will however continue to bring a great program to the feild; drumline will be better but not good enough. 9. Madison - Neck to Neck with Glassmen but over come them. Starting out the season in about the 7 to 8 place range finishing up in 9th. 10. Glassmen - Better show design this year ... But unlike the glassmen of the late 90's unable to push past a 10th placement ... not that they are a bad corps or have a bad show design. But that others are just doing better these days. 11. Boston - Again starting out the season great in about the 6-8 place region end up having a bad regional show in san antonio placing 9th and down hill from there. But much better show than 2006. 12. Colts - Retaining most members and dedicated fans and staff and members, Colts are the tear jerker of the season finally making it back into finals starting out the season rough in about 13-14 range they hold their heads up high and push past spirit in the last couple of weeks before finals week. ------ Note that this is for fun ... like all predictions you may however think Im an idiot .... but also think as do I about your predictions.

Im waiting for the ever popular ... "If they ahve these spots they must have trouble finding people, which leads people to think they are going to be bad this summer" .... just like the previous cadets openings. So many corps have openings .. in fact I would not rule out (after marching for a while) ... that every single corps has at least one spot open at some time, and most likely just dosent post it on every website ... because someone knows someone in the corps ... and can get it filled. Happens on the daily!

Intresting thread. I do how ever agree with you though and understand where your coming from. Some shows just seem, I guess, more mature than others ... like I would say top 12 shows from this past year were very mature ... 2005 not so many.

Santa Clara's Adagio for Strings ... Watching DCI DVD'S and seeing close ups of members after they finish the show and they are crying ... gives me goose bumps ... Listening to my own corps on the stereo in my car really loud ... and crying after we finish and the croud is going insane.

If you don't want compitition and instead want education and fun .... go watch BOA man. People that don't think Drum Corps is Compition make me so mad. If it wasn't compition there wouldn't be placements, just scores ... such as, I dont know ... a scholastic marching band regional geting scores such as a 1,2, or 3. If the members go home dissapointed from tour, that is no one but their faults ... they should have done better! and obviously didn't get what they wanted from their expirence, or they need just to march a better corps. Don't turn drum corps into a danm episode of 7th heaven. ^0^

First of all I am glad to see you have Blue Stars in 11th ... NOT! ... Won't happen buddy ... too fast; other corps are waaaay better. Second Blue Knigths will more than likely not drop out of Finals possibly in placement but not out of the Sat. Night show. Third .... cadets, really? ... no. Fourth ... Crossmen in 8th you are out of your danm mind dude. They moved to texas we all know what happens when corps are in texas ... bye-bye in less than 10 years. I wish people would be realistic about predictions and not such big tools. Thanks!

Academy is going to be good but I doubt they will be big contenders in top 12 ... I also doubt Cavies will drop below the top 2 placements.
