  1. The Crossmen Drum and Bugle Corps have openings in the 2010 Brassline. We are still looking for spots in each section. The 2010 production is "Full Circle" featuring the music of Pat Metheny. If you are ready to have the summer of your life, please contact brass caption head Aaron Goldberg. His email is aaron_gva@hotmail.com
  2. Michael Klesch and Todd Ryan Both are the very best at what they do in the activity and deserve a spot in the HOF
  3. Im so tired of ZOOOMMMMGGGG!!!1111!!!!SPARTACUS..........The clear winner of this is 2005 Cadets...you cant argue anything else....THEY HAVE THE HIGHEST SCORE OF ALL TIME AND ARE THE ONLY CORPS EVER IN DCI HISTORY TO HAVE EVERY JUDGE PUT THEM IN FIRST!!!!!!!!!
  4. No question 2004 Vanguard...Unbelievable show..coulda won dci any other year....so many good corps in 2004
  5. Crown 2008...because its the only show that had a legit shot at the medal too....but I can get down to some NEW ERA
  6. This was also recorded six days into spring training....were talking about MAY here....Itll be clean and in tune...dont worry about that
  7. If were goin to talk to crown uniform history.....Purple was not even originally a corps color.....There uniforms their first year were actually white waiters outfits.......And then the corps moved to teal and red.....If you look at 1995 "stormworks" show there was no purple in the uniforms, white and silver......The corps didnt really adopt the purple look till the late 90s.....Then with the shift in staff and design team in 2003, the cream team was born
  8. Wow jealous Much????? But this was a record setting camp for carolina crown "The 2009 season opened on a high note for Crown as the corps welcomed a record-setting turnout of 350 applicants at Nation Ford High School in Fort Mill, SC. The staff was excited at the talent level of the musicians and performers who were in attendance at the first camp weekend, not to mention their excitement towards what the new season holds!" -carolinacrown.org -Sesto
  9. I love Mr. Bungle......I think some of the stuff off of California might sound cool played by a drum corps.......You'd need a really great arranger to pull it off though............and for the record just cause YOU dont like it.....doesnt mean it sucks.....lrn2expandyourmusicalvariety Sesto
  10. Yeah the success that has come to Crown is directly related to the amount of returning members who believe in what we're trying to do.......We have many 5+ year members in the corps.....and this is what will make the Troopers successful.....to the members of the Troopers, keep coming back, take my word for it, it is so much more rewarding to be apart of a growing organization. Your hard work and dedication will build the corps future Sesto
  11. I think this might just be a rumor (we havent even had our first camp yet) Everyone at Crown would love to see the Troopers back in finals......we share some staff and some Crown age-outs are on staff at the Troop......With that being said I highly doubt that consideration for membership in the corps (crown) would depend on something like this.....We all wish the troop well......and last year (2008) we had a girl that marched Troopers 2007. Sesto
  12. I marched four years of drum corps and one year at The Pride of the Southland Band......I have to warn you they are very anti-drum corps.....They wont let you miss anything if they know it is for drum corps........It was a bad experience for me and that was why I only marched one season in that band and I'm about to march my fifth season of drum corps.......Choose drum corps its WAY better.
  13. The corps i marched with in 2006 used a delay effect on a mallet part in our show.......We were told that altering the sound electronically was illegal and against the rules.....We can only AMPLIFY acoustic instruments......We ended up taking it out of our show to comply with DCI rules and not take a penalty........If a delay effect is illegal then so is an effect that drops a voice three octaves........Perhaps because this "laugh" was during a very dense part of the show it went unnoticed by the judging community.........But it makes me wonder how BD didnt know that they were using an illegal effect? They must of realized that the sound they were making could not have been produced without the aid of an electronic effect and in turn against the current rules.
  14. BK has an indoor brass line. Check it out at their website.
  15. I am writing a speech on drum corps for my Communications 210 class and I was wondering if you all could answer a few questions for me. How many people were in the stands for Finals? How many people watched the live quarterfinals broadcast? How many people watched the ESPN 2 Broadcast? Thanks!!!!! Sesto
