  1. I have a similar question. I will be heading to semifinals along with 2 of my friends, but will unfortunately be arriving at about 5:45. Do you think I'll need to buy from the box office at this point?
  2. I'd have: 1. Phantom Regiment 2. Blue Devils 3. Madison Scouts 4. Bluecoats 5. Carolina Crown 6. The Cavaliers 7. Blue Knights 8. Santa Clara Vanguard 9. Colts 10. Pioneer
  3. Well I can't comment as the two encores I saw were pretty boring (Bluecoats and Cavies).
  4. If you search hard enough, there's already video of the encore floating around out there...
  5. Before today, head-to-head, Crown's guard was 20-1 against the Cadets' guard with the margin being at least .5 at every meeting since Murfreesboro. Today The Cadets guard won by .5 Before today, head-to-head, Crown's guard was 7-1 against the Vanguard's guard with the margin being at least .9 at every meeting since Sevierville (7/16). Today Vanguard's guard won by .9 Strange...
  6. I don't know. It's a bit strange that Crown went from 2nd to 5th in colorguard and The Cadets went from 5th to 2nd.
  7. I'm ok with their overall score, but 3rd in percussion??? That surprises me.
  8. Bluecoats 4th in Brass Crown 5th in Colorguard Regiment 3rd in Percussion hmmm...
  9. They can go to the souvie booths before or after the show.
  10. I would like to apologize to every college athlete ever who was booed at some point in their life when playing against their rivals in their championship game. Get over it, these are big kids and honestly, if booing were ever in order in a drum corps event, this would be it. The audience OBVIOUSLY isn't booing the performance, they are booing the fact that they aren't performing. Everybody booing is obviously aware that the performers had nothing to do with this and the corps members should realize this. Oh, and a message to Hoppy.... BOOOOOOOOO
  11. Nope. Quarters are in the cinemas only. Semis have a webcast, and finals are on ESPN in September.
  12. Correct. They've beaten them pretty handily for now the 3rd time in a week and the 9th time this season.
  13. Well PR lost to Bluecoats and Crown at San Antonio and they've come back to pass crown (I expect they will beat Bluecoats Thursday). The Cavalier lead over Regiment has shrunk from 3.55 at San Antonio to 2.00 at Indianapolis to a mere 0.70 at Phoenix. If they are truly within .7 of the Cavaliers, then they are within 1.5 of first place. I'm not saying they will pass anybody, but they are definitely gaining ground on the top 3 and I wouldn't be surprised to see them medal on Saturday night.
  14. If there were Vegas betting on who the DCI champion would be, what would the odds look like? My guess... The Cadets - 5 to 2 Blue Devils - 5 to 2 The Cavaliers - 7 to 2 Phantom Regiment - 12 to 1 Bluecoats - 15 to 1 Carolina Crown - 25 to 1 Santa Clara Vanguard - 40 to 1 Other - 500 to 1
  15. normally, the top 9 from each division advance from prelims to semis, but since there are only 6 D2 corps, all 6 D2 corps will advance along with the top 9 D3 corps. (The Yokohama Scouts can advance if they place in the top 9 - which they did - but don't bump anybody else out, there will just be 10 D3 corps advancing). For finals, the top 3 from each division advance, then next 6 highest scores, regardless of division. Again, the international corps can advance to make it 13 corps at finals.
  16. So far, Revolution, Oregon Crusaders, Impulse, Velvet Knights, and Mystikal have clinched spots in semis. Blue Devils C and Racine Scouts have been mathematically eliminated.
  17. Well, intermission now so hopefully they take the time to get the webcast up and running.
  18. Spokane Thunder - 73.550 (And Mystikal has officially qualified for semis)
