  1. World Gone Mad of Austin Texas is pleased to announce the signing of Robert Sowle as Director of Covert Operations. Robert will be in charge of special theatrical effects as well as rockin' in the drum line. Everyone here at WGM is looking forward to a long and especially loud relationship with Robert. Enjoy. Mike Reynolds Producer/Director WGM
  2. 1) This stunt doesn't surprise me. 2) Not everything has to be "National". 3) The western corps don't need DCA. DCA, despite the marketing, is a NE regional organization built for the benefit of NE corps. Let them keep it. There are corps all over that would be better served with regional circuits. California especially should have one, and so should Texas. And none of them should be affiliated with DCA. DCA is just a shared halucination of what a drum corps circuit "should" be. It's not a freakin' law. Let DCA keep it's hold on the NE, keep your money closer to home, and declare your own champion from your own circle of corps, just like DCA did for itself for 500 years. And if they want your ring so bad, let them travel 3,000 miles west to get it. B)
  3. BLACK DINKLE'S? THAT'S EVERYBODY ELSE...
  4. Yeah Bumo, I hate to post on a thread I started but I actually have to cover up that part of the screen when I read your posts. Gives me the living creeps. I'll make you a deal. I won't post on DCP anymore if you change your avatar to something that doesn't make me hurl. You'll be a hero to many.
  5. I didn't want to post it here because 19,000 views and 475 responses (Fiasco thread) are really a little much. But if they read the whole entry I think the regular posters here will find a lot to sink their teeth into. "Lifetime Imitates Senior Corps" http://keepaustinloud.blogspot.com/ Enjoy.
  6. The post called "Fiasco" has generated over 18,000 views and 450 responses on the DCA Event Review section of the Drum Crops Planet forums. 98% of the responses include at least one misspelling and three grammatical errors, which are forcing me to draw some rather unpleasant conclusions. Some fun ones too. On to badder things: Our Open House Beat 'n' Greet is scheduled to rock. We've booked the banquet room at 300 Austin Bowling Center - http://www.3hundred.com/300austin/centerHomepage.htm - from 7 to 9pm on October 21st. I know what you're thinking, and you're right. This could quite possibly be the best time you've ever had in a drum corps situation. Maybe ever. Yeah, we'll bowl afterward. There's a trophy and everything.
  7. 15,000 views and 375 responses! Who knew a hair could split so many ways? Rockin'.
  8. "A Young Person's Guide to KISS" See you at the Beat and Greet October 21. Prosthetic tongue optional. Enjoy.
  9. Don't worry 'boat, I'm wearing that RIGHT NOW. Bigger hat though. Your pal, Mike
  10. Electrical fire clearly caused by voodoo. We should be back online in the next day or two - waiting on graveyard dust and dove's blood gris-gris via Purolator Courier.
  11. Dave its seems to me you need to reorder your priorities. Let me help: 1) Fun - Drum Corps 2) Fun - Other 3) Slacking 4) Girls/Alcohol 5) Sleep 6) School 7) Work Now that's a balanced lifestyle. --- Note: Do not take my advice.
  12. Well Dave, it was 23 years ago. You know how it is with old school jams. You still in the SoCal?
  13. Thanks for the props. Many of our gigs will be at venues that admit "over 21" only (and 30+ seemed extreme).
